“It's a long story, Georgiana.” He sighed. “So maybe I could show you instead?”
I looked at him like he was crazy. “Show me? What do you mean?”
He cracked a smile at me. “Yep. Show you. Kind of like putting images or film into someones mind. It'll hurt for the first time but after that it wont hurt again if I need to do it again. Is that okay?”
I nodded slowly and shuffled closer to him so that he could place his hands on my temples. I held back a small laugh at the cliché.
“Ready?” He whispered. Looking me in the eyes. I nodded again and took a deep, steady breath.
That's when the pain started.
**
A young girl ran across the road towards a tall, old style building with her fire-red, curly hair flew around in the wind behind her. Her outfit was simple; denim skinny jeans, black tank top and long checked shirt. Her thick-rimmed glasses that framed her dark brown eyes started to slip down her nose as she ran. As she tried to push them up her nose she tripped on the curb, sending the books she had in her arms flying onto the side walk. A young man ran up to her eagerly and helped her collect the fallen books. The girl looked up towards the man and lashed him a hundred watt smile and finally pushed her glasses up her straight nose. The man looked stunned for a second but after a second he returned the smile and handed the girl her books back.
“Thank you!” The girls voice was floaty and sounded like bells. “Um.. I'm Angela.” She offered man her hand after juggling the books she hand into the crook of one arm.
The guy took her hand, smiling. “I'm Zeus” The girl laughed, almost dropping her books again.
“Really? Your parents named you after that moody lightening god? Poor you...”
The two of them laughed and the scene changed.
The new scene was of Zeus and Angela sat inside a cosy looking coffee shop. Again, the two of them were laughing until Angela spilt her coffee down her jumper. Zeus grabbed up some tissues and started to wipe away the spillage when Angela lifted his face to hers and planted a gentle kiss onto his lips.
The scene changed again, this time to a hospital room. Angela laid in the bed, pale and breathing heavily with her eyes closed. Zeus sat in the uncomfortable looking chair in the corner, his head in his hands. The sounds from Angela's heart monitor started to slow down and Zeus started to sob. As the sound blurred into a long, single note, Zeus lifted himself out of his seat and walked over to Angela's side. He kissed her vivid red hair as a tear rolled down his cheek.
The last scene was of a dark haired woman opening her door in the middle of the night to find a small, pale pink bundle on her door step.

The pain in my head died down as I slipped back into reality. I found my cheeks were wet and my breathing heavy. I stared into the eyes of my divine parent and saw tears streaming down his face.
Zeus. My divine parent is Zeus. I felt my head spin as I started to believe everything I had been told but I had to keep myself together so that I could ask more questions.
“Z-zeus..” I whispered. He flicked his eyes to me for a second. The pain in his eyes took the breath out of me.
“I know what you're going to ask, Georgiana. Just.. please, give me a second. This is hurting me as much as it's hurting you. Those memories haven't bee awakened in seventeen years and so the pain is still fresh to me.” His voice was so quiet I had to strain to hear it.
