Zeus’s P.O.V

“Now that you’re finally here.” I started as Alex and Clarissa entered the room looking panicked. “I’ll fill you all in.” I took a deep breath and settled my anger, this much rage in a God around several Demi-Gods was not a good thing. “As you know, Zeke had taken Georgiana and is holding her captive. We believe, well, Athena believes, that his next plan of action will be to strike Olympus and try to over throw the Gods.” I let this news sink in for a moment, gauging their reaction and not really seeing any shift in their moods; they were all still just as determined looking so I carried on. “We’ve been watching you train over the last few days and you’ve all made reasonable progress and so you will all be taking part in the battle alongside us Gods. Believe it or not but we need you. You will all be stationed in certain places around Olympus and will not leave that place unless you are told to by either me or Athena. Now, Alex, you will be going with Nemesis and Hades here to find Georgiana.”

The boy looked nervous for a second as he eyed the two other gods in the room but he still stayed determined. He looked me dead in the eyes and nodded. “I understand. Can I take anyone with me?”

“No.” I sighed. “You must be the one to find Georgiana and only you, Alex. The prophecy says that; “Should Chance and Luck once but kiss, twelve thrones will not fall under shadows fist”. That means you two, we’re certain of it, you two together can save Olympus, no one else.”

He nodded at me again and took a deep breath, running a hand through his hair. “So what’s the plan of attack on that then?” He asked, aiming the question at Nemesis.

Nemesis looked him in the eyes steadily. “We’ll talk about that when we get to Olympus, Alex.” She said softly, her voice almost reassuring me and everyone else that everything would be okay but I knew better than to expect that. Again Alex nodded but he stayed silent this time. I felt bad for him. It was clear he loved my daughter with everything inside him, hell; his love was enough to turn him into a warrior. The last time I’d seen him he hadn’t been weak but now he was fully muscular and looked ready to take down anything to find Georgiana. I approved but I wouldn’t tell him that until the wedding, if a wedding still happened.

“How are you all feeling about this?” Hades asked, shocking everyone with his uncharacteristic question. Everyone mumbled quiet answers but one whisper shut everyone else up.

“How do you think I feel, Dad?” Zoe whispered from the side of the room, her eyes welling up with tears. I watched as my brother softened on the inside and opened his arms for his daughter to run into.

“I know, Zoe.” He whispered. I looked away, feeling like I was prying by watching their exchange. I looked round at everyone, seeing that they had all looked away again. I fekt guilty for thinking about killing Zeke and it was obvious everyone else did too but we all knew we had to do it. It was my duty to my family and to my daughter. Not to mention the fact that should Zeke succeed the entire world would feel the effects of it. The sea would cease to have waves, there would be no storms ever again, the sun wouldn’t rise or set, animals would over run the planet, the nature would all die…

A loud pop came from just in front of Nemesis and Hermes appeared looking a little frazzled. “Lord Zeus! The boy has started his attack on Olympus!” He reported quickly. I kicked into action and looked around at everyone.

“Alright you lot. This is it, not trial run. We are fighting from Olympus right now.” I said firmly. Everyone touch part of us and we’ll get you to Olympus in a simple second, just keep your eyes closed. Everyone moved swiftly, they all had their weapons and armour on and they all looked ready, a far cry from the teenagers that they had been only a few weeks before.
