“Your Dad is Zeus.”

I rolled my eyes. Since we'd sat down to dinner it seemed everyone had attempted to say that statement as many times as they could, all of them giving me an identical look of awe. Even little Zara had managed to get the name 'Zeus' out of her lips, though it sounded more like ' Zoos'.

I looked over at the little five year old next to me and smiled as I watched her eyelids droop. “I think I should take Zara up to her room” I announced, finishing off the last of the red wine in my glass.

Linda nodded and excused me from the table, an appreciative smile gracing her lips. I took Zara into my arms and placed her on my hip. Once I reached the top of the stairs I realised I had no idea where Zara's room actually was.

“Smart move” I whispered to myself quietly. I headed down the corridor to my right, hoping it was right. I smiled when I reached a pale purple door and smiled when I noticed 'Zara' painted on the door in delicate silver lettering. I opened the door with one hand, keeping a firm grip on Zara who was rapidly falling asleep on my hip.

Inside, the room was beautifully decorated with little toys neatly put away and a fluffy cream rug in the middle of the room. I deliberately walked over a part of the rug, just to let my toes scrunch up in the fluffy heaven as I went over to Zara's little single bed and set her down inside it. I pushed her delicate little curls out of her face, smiling at her sleepy expression. She smiled slightly at me and reached out a small palm and placed it on my cheek.

“You pwetty, Gee-gee” she sighed, closing her pretty blue eyes.

I smiled, running my fingers through her hair and my thumb across her delicate cheek. “Night night, Zara.” I whispered, kissing her head and standing to leave the room.

“Nooo! Don't gooo!” Zara half squealed. I knelt back down beside her. “In bed, Gee-gee” Zara wriggled over in her bed and patted the spot beside her. I laughed slightly to myself and crawled into her bed next to her, pulling her little frame next to me and put my chin on her head.

“Okay, Zara, sleep hunny” I whispered, closing my own eyes.

“Nigh nigh Gee-gee”

I smiled again. At least one of the Clark siblings wasn't a jerk face.

Alex's P.O.V

We all watched G take Zara out of the room. I smiled to myself. She looked so natural with a child on her hip. I caught myself at that moment and wiped the smile off my face. I couldn't start falling for G. I'm a son of Aphrodite, not someone who simply falls in love. I break hearts, not get my heart broken by average looking girls with pretty eyes.

“She's perfect isn't she, Tony?” I heard my mother whisper.

I got up in frustration and left the room.
She's not perfect! She's just a girl the Gods wanted me to marry to save their asses. I went into Zara's room to give her a kiss goodnight and stopped in my tracks when I walked it.

Curled up in bed was Georgiana with Zara curled into her chest. The two of them looked like angels sleeping there and I felt my heart rate speed up as I watched G sleep.

Her gorgeous red hair sprawled across her face and her slight red lips parted as she breathed. I could feel my heart clench as an urge to kiss her swelled inside of me. I forced myself out of the room, closed the door and out my back against it, breathing heavily.

There was nothing I could do. I couldn't deny it. I was falling for Georgiana Ann Livingston and I was falling hard.

On Mount Olympus.(No POV)

The air on Mount Olympus was thick with tension around two divine figures. A man and woman argued furiously and the sky around them shook with anger.

“Aphrodite, your son cannot simply annoy and tease my daughter for their entire marriage! I wont allow it!” The man bellowed, his silver eyes flashing dangerously, lightning adding effect to his words.

“Zeus, I will not temper with our children's emotions. They will either fall in love naturally or not fall in love at all. But tempt not too much the spirit within me. I will not be doubted, even by you Father. I have faith that they will fall in love.” Aphrodite spat back.

“They will not if you do not help them along! I have no doubt of your skills but I will not watch my daughter live in misery, just to save offending you and your pride.”

Aphrodite walked away from Zeus, her hands flying to her flawless hair. Suddenly her countanance changed and she smiled.

“A bet, then. My father.” She grinned. “I bet that they will fall in love within a month of being together. If they do not, I will step in and alter their emotions. However, if they do, you have to grant me the power to influence the Gods to fall in and out of love with each other.”

A powerful silence followed as Zeus thought the proposition through and stared into the sky.

“Deal” He muttered and the sky above rumbled in disapproval.
