Georgiana's P.O.V
I sighed and threw myself back onto my bed in frustration. I'd given up. After an entire hour of pulling everything out of my wardrobe to find something decent to wear to this bloody ridiculous date with Alex it was official that I didn't own anything that would do the job. It was bloody typical. I must have bought every other thing in the world I could have needed, but no! Not a simple nice bloody outfit I could wear to a fancy dinner out.
I picked myself up out of the growing comfort of my bed and started to put away various tops and skirts and dresses that were scattered across the room. “Bloody stupid Aphrodite child type thing!” I mumbled, viciously putting away clothing.
“Awh, thanks, G!”
I rolled my eyes, not bothering to face him. “Go away, Alex.” I huffed, walking past him.
“You wound me, G!” Alex walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist from behind me. I froze, eyes wide and fuming.
“Alex. Get. Off. This is your only warning.” I said through clenched teeth, stopping myself from battering him to death with the shoes currently in my hands.
“But you know you love it really, G.” He cooed, making me see red and at that point I did turn around and start beating him with a shoe.
“No! No I bloody well do not! And do not call me G! You pig-brained, low-lie basta-”
“Georgiana, if you carry on hitting him that way there will be no point in me bringing you this gift.”
I froze during mid-shoe-swing and turned to see my divine parent smirking at us. I dropped the shoes and grinned sheepishly at him. “But it's fun...” I muttered.
Alex grunted a bit and rubbed his head, looking sorry or himself and Zeus and I just laughed at him.
“Alex, leave us alone for a minute please, I need to give something to my daughter that you can't see. And, I you wouldn't like to get another beating for a while, I'd stay away from my daughter for a reasonable amount of time.” Although he had laughed and smiled at Alex, I heard an underlying threat in my fathers words that made me feel uncomfortable. Alex seemed to have noticed this too and shuffled away out of the room.
“I'll come and get you at seven.” He called over his shoulder as he shut the door behind him. I nodded and smiled at him slightly. I felt a little sorry for him to be honest but I soon covered that feeling and turned back to my parent, curious about the gift he'd bought for me.
“Really Georgiana?” He chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. “You have so many gifts and yet you lower yourself to hitting the boy with shoes?”
“Hey!” I protested, feeling like he was disappointed in me. “It seemed like a good idea at the time.”
HE chuckled some more and nodded at me. “Well, I only have time to drop this off for you and to say hello, so here's your gift. There's no need to thank me for it because technically it was always going to be yours anyway.” He smiled softly at me. “I hope you have a good night tonight, even if the boy is insufferable. He's a child of Aphrodite and so he should have tonight perfect, if he doesn't want to annoy his mother.” He placed the large rectangular package he was holding onto the bed and turned to leave. “Goodbye Georgiana.” And then he simply disappeared.
“I have to learn how to do that.” I muttered to myself. I eyed up the package on the bed for a second before rushing over to it and taking the lid off. A folded square of paper fell to the floor. Curious, I unfolded it and read it quickly.
Georgiana,
This was your mother's favourite dress when she was alive. She wore it to our very first date and I remember that she looked stunning. I'm certain that you'll look beautiful in it too. I know your mother would have wanted you to have it one day and so here it is for you.
Love,
Zeus.
I smiled slightly and blinked back tears. I set the note down beside me and removed the wrappings of the dress carefully, a new found respect and curiosity for this dress awakened in me. I pulled the dress out of box carefully and stood up, letting the shiny, silk material fall gracefully to the floor. It's beautiful blue/silver colour shimmered in the light. I turned it around in my hands, examining every inch of it. It was backless, floor length and utterly flawless. It's beauty stunned me for a second as I took it all in. It's no wonder it was my mothers favourite dress.
Alex's P.O.V
I wrung my hands and I felt some sweat on them. I cursed a little and wiped them on my pants in an epically attractive manner. I walked up to Georgiana's door and rapped on it, the nerves in me made it sound like an impatient knock. I'd never been nervous about a date before... but this wasn't just any date. This was a date with the utterly heartbreakingly beautiful, hard hearted Georgiana.
After a second the door opened and Georgiana swept past me, not giving me a chance to talk to her, and swayed her way down the stairs. I followed after her, feeling like a little lost puppy, my mouth hanging open. The bluey silver dress she wore fitted to her curves perfectly and emphasised her vivid red hair. When we reached the bottom of the stairs I managed to find my voice somehow and told her to wait inside whilst I fetched the car. She turned to face me and I lost my breath, her eyes!
The black eye-liner she wore made her blue eyes stand out on her pale skin, making me feel like they were penetrating my soul. She noticed my pause and raised an eyebrow at me, snapping me into reality. I rushed my way outside and got the car round to the doors and tooted the horn a few times to get Georgiana's attention.
The car ride went by in silence but I couldn't help but look at Georgiana. She made my heart go crazy with those bog eyes and her perfect curves. But more than that, her attitude towards me made me confused and made me work for her, something I wasn't used to and I... I liked.
