Walking into the air conditioned room felt like such a relief to the all of us. The heat outside was intense, but we loved it so could never truly complain.
The apartment consisted of a kitchen/living area with a sofa bed, one bedroom, a bathroom and a huge balcony overlooking the gardens and the apartments football pitch. Me and my sister were to sleep in the bedroom, whilst our parents had the two sofa beds in the living area; it wasn't ideal, but it was perfect for us.
My mum immediately started unpacking, whilst I went out to the pool area with my sister and dad to see what the apartments were like. When we got outside, we could hear music coming from the swimming pool, so we walked down the ramp and round the corner and found ourselves looking at loads of people sitting on the side of the pool doing sit ups to the beat of a pitbull song. My dad burst out laughing and I started giggling.
Lucy shook her head at us and quietly told us to stop laughing so we hurried past the pool and into the bar area. We walked through, smiling at the barman and looking around at the pool table and mini stage in the corner where things were being set up for the evening's entertainment.
When we walked up to the reception area, a board was up on the wall showing the daily activities. The scene we had just witnessed was a part of aqua aerobics which happened every day at around the same time; "There is no way im doing that in front of the whole pool" I laughed, there was no way I was going to embarrass myself like that.
"Your mum will definitely want to do that though" my dad laughed, "speaking of your mum, lets go back and help her so we can all get down to the pool"
As we were walking back to the apartment to put on our swimming clothes and help my mum with any last unpacking; I spotted another coach pulling up outside the apartment. I could see a large group of people getting off and collecting their luggage.
"Come on Lily!" My dad called, "Mum will be waiting and I want to get in the swimming pool!".
"I'm coming!" I laughed, my dad was so impatient.
