I smiled at George, grateful for his optimism. "Shall we just stay here for the night then?" I asked, looking at everyone in the truck.
"I think that's best, we can figure everything out tomorrow. Everything seems better in the light" replied Josh, smiling at me. I smiled back and pulled the keys out of the ignition, turning off the engine and putting the truck into complete darkness. The quietness that followed was eery and I suddenly felt scared and vulnerable. I snuggled close to Josh and he seemed to notice how I felt.
"It's ok, I'm here" he assured me, stroking my hair. His comforting words and embrace made me feel more calm and safe straight away. I turned around and noticed Lucy and George in the back, cuddling like me and Josh were.
"Truth or dare?" George asked suddenly, looking at us all.
I laughed, "Yeh sure, you first, truth or dare?" I asked George.
"Hmm... truth" he replied.
Josh leant over and whispered a question in my ear to ask George, I giggled and said "Ok George, we need to know the truth, do you have feelings for Selena Gomez?"
He giggled, looked down at Lucy, and said "No, absolutely not, I can assure you of that one." He was speaking to all of us, but it was like he was just talking to my sister.
"Ok, now it's my turn" George said, looking at Josh, "Josh, truth or dare?"
"Dare" Josh answered, grinning.
"Ok then, I dare you to kiss Lily" George giggled.
"That's too easy" Josh laughed, leaning down, cupping my head in his hands and kissing me fiercely.
"Ok, enough, enough" giggled Lucy.
"George, truth or dare?" Laughed Josh, breaking away from me.
"It's not my turn though" George protested, but went along with it anyway, "dare" he said, winking at me and Josh.
Josh whispered in my ear and I nodded, smiling at Lucy who looked worried. "Ok, George, we dare you to kiss Lucy" he said, winking at them both.
George giggled and looked down at Lucy, who suddenly went bright red, "Umm" she said, but before she could finish what she was about to say, George placed his hand on her cheek, looked her straight in the eyes and gently kissed her.
Josh coughed to get their attention and I giggled, they broke apart and George had a huge grin on his face, whilst my sister looked as if she was about to pass out.
I burst into laughter and had to bury my face in Josh's shoulder to stop, "this is an interesting game of truth or dare" I giggled when I had stopped laughing. They all agreed and I felt so happy to be in their company. Even though we were in the middle of nowhere, in a foreign country, I still felt content and safe.
My stomach started grumbling and as soon as mine started everyone else's did the same as well. "I don't have any food" I complained, holding my stomach as I grew more and more hungry.
"Don't worry, I have some chocolate bars in my bag from the airport" said Josh, reaching down into his bag and pulling out a handful of different chocolates. He handed them out to each of us and we ate them, grateful for some food. Once I had eaten, I reached into my bag to pull out the bottles of water, handing one to George and Lucy, and keeping one for me and Josh. After drinking and eating, I suddenly felt really tired and I yawned and stretched, trying to find a comfortable position in the truck.
"I have an idea" suggested Josh, he put the bag over the handbrake and laid out across the three chairs that made up the front of the truck, "Come lay next to me" he said, patting his chest, gesturing for me to lay down. I smiled and laid down next to him, sharing his warmth to keep me from getting cold. He put his arms around me, cradling me next to him, and I sighed heavily, blissfully happy. I closed my eyes and he started singing softly;
"Baby, you amaze me
You still knock me off my feet
And who would have ever guessed it would last through it all
The reason I believe, can't you see?
You still amaze me
You still amaze me"
I drifted off into a peaceful sleep; I didn't need to dream. Everything I ever wished would happen, was happening to me right now. I was the luckiest girl in the world.

I woke up to the strong sun's rays piercing through the window of the truck. It was early morning because the sun was still rising, but the heat was still intense, enough to wake me up. I reached down to my bag next to me, pulling out my packet of chewing gum. It will have to do for now instead of brushing my teeth, I thought to myself, putting a piece in my mouth. As I chewed I noticed everyone else was still asleep; Lucy and George laid in the back, cuddling each other as they slept; and Josh was still asleep next to me. As I looked, I noticed Josh's eyelids flutter awake, he stretched and looked up at me, smiling.
"Morning handsome" I whispered, kissing him gently. He smiled, then looked confused.
"You smell minty?" He giggled, questioningly. I giggled as quietly as I could and I held up the packet of chewing gum. "Oh" he laughed, taking one out of the packet that I offered him.
"Thanks beautiful" he whispered, pulling me back down into his arms, kissing my neck as I giggled.
I heard shuffling in the back and saw my sister sit up, stretching. She saw the chewing gum in my hand and whispered to me, asking if she could have some. I handed her the chewing gum and she took mouthing thank you to me. I smiled and closed my eyes.
"Good morning everyone!" Came the cheerful sound of George's voice from the back of the truck.
"Morning" we all replied to him.
I sat up, and so did Josh, both of us stretching. I looked out of the window and Josh was right, everything looked a lot more hopeful in the light. We could see the road stretching ahead of us, so I decided we had no time to waste. "Shall we get going then?" I asked everyone. We all decided to quickly go to the toilet out in the bushes before we set off, and as soon as everyone was back I turned the engine on and pulled back onto the road, heading towards the mountains in front of us.
