As the plane touched down at Palma airport, I breathed a sigh of relief. The flight had been horrible and I couldn't wait to get safely outside. I didn't like flying at the best of times, so flying through a storm as we left England was not my idea of a good time.
As the plane slowed to a halt, I immediately searched for my phone at the bottom of my bag to turn it on. As I patiently stared at the screen waiting for it to light up, my mum, Kate leaned across and whispered, "Lily do you constantly have to be on your phone, we are on holiday for goodness sake!"
"I just need to check Josh Cuthbert's twitter mum! I told you before we left that he was flying to Majorca today with his family for their holiday! I bet he is staying at some really expensive private villa, but can you imagine if he was staying at our apartments, it would be a dream..." My voice faded away as I realised my mum was no longer listening and was beginning to sort out everyone's bags to leave the plane. Typical.
My parents had quickly begun to ignore me whenever I started talking about my favourite band, Union J. My fantasy's about the band bored them, as deep down they thought I would never realistically stand a chance with any one of them. Thankfully, my 16 year old sister was different to them. She was just as obsessed with the band as I was so she watched as I tweeted Josh with a smile on her face.
I'm just an ordinary, 18 year old, quiet girl, from a small town called Crowe. I'm the type of person who sits at the back of class and watch my classmates fool around as I dreamt about my favourite band, imagining finally meeting them one day.
My friends always think they understand my obsession, but the people who I can truly relate to are the friends I have made on twitter, who completely understand my fantasies and dreams about the 4 boys who stole my heart.
When my twitter friends found out that I'm going to the island of Majorca at the same time as Josh Cuthbert, they were insanely jealous but tried their hardest to help me and find out where he was staying; unfortunately, no one had managed to find out anything.
The plane had come to a stop and we stood up to collect our hand luggage, watching as the flight attendants opened the doors. I looked down just in time to see on twitter that Josh Cuthbert had tweeted that he had just left England to fly out to Majorca.
I began to feel very excited and had to remind myself to calm down. I was on holiday and was not going to let this spoil my time with my family. As I reminded myself this, I turned off my phone, put it into my bag, and told myself that I would not turn it on again until I got back on a plane to fly home.
