All four of us walked out of the apartments through the back entrance and headed through the gardens until we came onto a road that led straight to the marina. Dotted along the road were shops, restaurants and bars with music blasting out and everyone we walked past had a huge smile on their face. The whole vibe of the resort was electric, it was my favourite place in the world. As we walked past bars, we would sing along to the music playing in them, dancing and giggling as we moved past them, all of us holding each other's hands as we did so.
When we got to the marina, we were met by a row of restaurants; Italian, Spanish, Chinese, so many we could choose from. "So, where shall we go and eat" I asked, looking at the row of restaurants that lay in front of us.
"I was thinking about going here" Josh said, pointing behind us. We all slowly turned around and in front of us sat the most beautiful yacht I had ever seen. It was moored up in the marina, and was decorated all over in fairy lights and flowers; Lily's. "Surprise" he said, wrapping his arms around my waist from behind and resting his head on my shoulder. My eyes filled with tears and I couldn't speak, I couldn't believe what he had done, it was stunning.
I turned to him, and he noticed the tears in my eyes. "Happy tears?" He asked, smiling. I simply nodded and wrapped my arms around his neck, resting my head against his and staring into his eyes.
"I love you so so much" I whispered to him, placing my lips gently against his, kissing him slowly and passionately.
"Dude, this is awesome!" Shouted George. Him and Lucy were already walking onto the boat, greeting the captain and heading to get some drinks. I laughed at them and pulled away from Josh, staring into his eyes again.
"I couldn't not invite them" winked Josh.
"No, I love having them here as well" I replied, now staring at the yacht, "I can't believe it, Josh."
He smiled at me, "Come on beautiful, you deserve it" he said, taking my hand and leading me onto the yacht. He nodded at the captain, and a few seconds later the engine started and we began moving out of the marina. We stood at the front of the yacht and I looked out at the beautiful lights from the marina. The sun was still going down and it shone on the water, making it glisten and reflect the fairy lights from the boat.
"Look, Look!" Shouted Lucy from the other end of the boat, pointing out to the sea. George had his arms wrapped around her and was kissing her neck when we got over to where they were looking out to sea.
That's when we saw them, jumping high above the waves and leaping out against the sunset, a group of dolphins. "Wow" I breathed. They swam closer to the yacht and as we moved through the waves they followed beside us, jumping in and out of the waves constantly. We stood by the side of the boat watching them for a few minutes before a waiter came out announcing that dinner was nearly ready. "Follow me" said Josh, taking my hand and leading us to the other side of the boat, Lucy and George following behind us.
When we got to the other side, we were met by an arch made of roses, with curtains of flowers falling down covering the entrance. We moved them aside and stepped into a covered area that looked like something out of a fairytale. Walls of lily flowers surrounded the area, enclosing it in, and above us was an empty space, allowing the stars to shine on us. In the middle of the area was two tables set apart with rose petals and two chairs on each, Josh winked at George who then led Lucy over to one of the tables, pulling the chair out for her and sitting down.
I looked up at Josh in amazement, "I don't even know what to say" I told him, looking up into his eyes in wonder.
"You don't have to say anything, I can see it in your eyes how happy you are" he replied, taking my hand softly in his and leading us over to the table laid out for us. He pulled my chair out for me and pushed it in as I sat down, then sat in his place across from me. The table top was covered with a white cloth and red rose petals littered the top of it. In the middle of the table sat a vase of Lily's and our plates and glasses were set neatly in our places. "I haven't gone a bit overboard on the Lily's have I?" Asked Josh when he saw me looking at them in the vase.
"Absolutely not" I replied, taking one out and sniffing it, "It's the most amazing and thoughtful thing ever, I seriously don't know what to say" I said, placing the Lily back in the vase.
Josh took both my hands in his and kissed them lightly, looking up into my eyes. "You are the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me, and I want to make you the happiest woman in the world, because you make me the happiest man in the world."
"Josh, just having you close to me, just having you kiss me and hold me, is enough to make me the happiest woman in the world" I replied, "but this is the most romantic thing I could ever think of, I can't believe you did this, it's amazing" I said, looking around at the wall of flowers and up at the star lit sky.
Just as I spoke the waiter came out with our plates of food, he placed it in front of me and I giggled. "How did you know pizza was my favourite meal?" I asked, smiling at Josh.
"You told me on the first day we met" he replied, giggling at me as I shovelled a huge piece of pizza in my mouth.
We finished the rest of the meal quickly and the waiter came and took our plates away. George and Lucy were still eating theirs and were in deep conversation so we decided to head back to the front of the boat and leave them in privacy. When we walked to the front, music started playing from the speakers on the yacht and it was slow and romantic. "May I have this dance" Josh asked, holding his hand out for me to take.
"You may" I replied, giggling and placing my hand into his. He led us over to the middle of the deck, under the moon and the stars that shone down on the boat, and placed one hand round my waist and the other in my hand, holding it up into the air. I kept hold of his hand with one of my hands, and the other I placed on his shoulder. We began slowly dancing to the rhythm of the soft music and I rested my head on his shoulder for the whole song. The next one that played was slow but more of a dancing one so he twirled me around and pulled me back close to him, moving swiftly across the deck of the boat to the rhythm of the song. It was magical, like something out of a movie. We spun around and twirled and danced for what seemed like hours, just me and him, together. I hadn't even noticed that George and Lucy had joined us until I spun around and saw them slow dancing together, Lucy's head resting on George's shoulder as they swayed to the music.
We stayed on the dance floor until late in the night, towards midnight. We were slow dancing with my head on Josh's shoulder when I yawned and he looked down at me, "tired?" He asked.
"No, I'm not too bad, my legs hurt a bit from all that dancing though" I giggled.
He stopped moving and took my hand, "come with me" he said, leading us down into the inside of the yacht. We walked through a small corridor and he opened a door that led into a beautiful bedroom with a huge double bed in the middle. I stared at the bed and he noticed me looking; "don't worry we don't have to do anything you don't want to do, but this is our room for the night" he said, smiling sweetly at me and kissing me gently on the lips. I trusted him, I wanted to do this, so I kissed him more urgently, took his hand and led him onto the bed. He followed me but stopped kissing me to look me in the eyes questioningly. I nodded, "I trust you, I love you" I said, my heart beating at a ridiculous pace.
