Chapter II
First Meeting

It's only 8am but it has already been a tiresome day for Dylan.

The people from the past must have been busy.

That's what he's thinking.

How else could anyone explain all these changes happening around him? He decided to call it a 'rift holiday' because that's how it feels. And being the only who sees those changes, he has no one to talk to. He's already the odd one out. Why risk being called a lunatic when he can just keep it in?

So that's what he did. And it's been draining all his energy since that morning.

"I need coffee!" he thought. Yes. Coffee is the solution to everything. To hell with rifts. And just as he was thinking about what coffee to buy when he gets off the train, he saw a woman in a yellow sleeveless dress and an over-sized bag standing wide-eyed in the platform... then, he sees the same woman wearing a plain beige dress and a black bag, in stark contrast from what she was carrying a few seconds ago, come rushing over to catch the train just as the doors were closing.

He had no time to be confused. Didn't even have the time to wonder why he knew what a sundress is.

"That's dangerous," was all he could think of saying as he reached a hand to help the lady get inside in time to avoid getting caught between the train doors.
