I paused and scanned my audience.
"We know! We know that Dylan sees rifts! Just tell us what happens next!"
I shake my head and smiles. Kids are really impatient but I knew that would happen. Reading a character description a second time is boring. Even for adults.
"Okay. I didn't really write anything. That's one of the shortest chapters in my book."
"Yay!" they all yelled in unison.
I continued reading.
