Chapter 6
Book Reading Part 2-2015-
"Okay. This story ends here. Some see-er in our time must be having a heart attack seeing a train get wrecked and then fixed and then wrecked and then fixed again," I finished with a wink.
The group of teenagers I was reading to has varied reactions.
"What?! What happened? He died?!!!"
"I don't understand..."
A few were crying, "Why is it so sad?!" and some were just bored, they probably stopped listening since the second May 10, 2010.
Well, I expected that. When I decided to pursue my first love which was writing and left my clerical job, I knew I'd never be able to please everyone and God knows with teenagers. They're just so hard to please these days.
"Where'd you get the idea for this book and why'd you use your name?" a kid asked disturbing my reverie.
"Well, it was from a dream and in my dream, I was that girl! I was truly inspired by that very vivid dream. And who has never imagined about being the receiving part of that kind of love? It's romantic isn't it?" I answered with a smile.
I answered a few more questions and finally thanked the teachers, the students, the bookstore that funded the event and Gil, the designer of the book cover, Mae, his girlfriend, the publisher and everyone involved. I never expected to be this kind of person. Just as my namesake in my book, I have changed dramatically through the year. After meeting Gil, Mae and the whole publishing team in some kind of event, I have been more inspired to follow my dream.
Come to think of it, what event was that? It was so vague. So many things have happened in the last four years and everything just felt like a blur. I knew someone with the guy's name in the story too but he's also a blur. It felt great to be unable to remember everyone in my life. That means my connections have grown and I have grown.
Life is great.
I was happy. My life has changed. I was successful, has friends and my dreams have finally come true.
Dreams? True?
Wait...
What?
