"Without a hand to help her get in, she'd instinctively stop right before the door of the train. She knew it wouldn't pin her because it has sensors but she was two seconds away from reaching the door and it's scary. She'd feel that it would be useless. She'd be too late. She'd need a cab."
There is no payment for love.
Nor sacrifice.
And he was willing to give her both.
"No!" Dylan shook his head and pushed away the thought. He let the door close and looked away.
No one deserved to die.
"I chose to love her by not loving her."
His loss of memory was instant. As a see-er, he was spared from the gradual, almost impossible to notice change.
