::: So one of you lovely people asked me if I could post the songs that I listen to with every chapter or songs that go with the chapter itself, so here they are:

Bastille- Weight of living (part two).

The fray- Save a life.

Dan Smith- Words are Words.

April can't hear my calls. I thinks she's too busy stomping blood out of the pavement beneath her feet.

I remove my seatbelt, but Beau grabs my wrist, stopping me from leaving the car.

"Where are you going?" He asks, his voice is rough and lined with anger.

"Just to go get April, that's all." He nods and lets go, forcing his eyes away from mine.

He seems agitated. Angry even and I'm not entirely sure as to why. I know my father shouldn't have said those rude things, but I don't think that, that's what's affecting Beau's mood. He's been a little unresponsive since we saw Yolanda. It probably has something to do with her mentioning his secrets, the secrets that I still need to question him about. I would but I really don't want to upset him. Besides Luke needs us now, this isn't the time to start an argument.

"April wait!" I chase her down the road.

She spins around and pulls the earphones from her ears.

"Oh, hi. I didn't see you there." She breathes.

"Yeah I could tell. Beau's waiting for us in the car. Did you hear about Esme?"

"Luke just called me. I asked for a lift but my mom refused because we have guests. Inconsiderate, right? Esme could be dying and I'm sure she wouldn't care!"

I sigh and shake my head.

"Eleanor are you okay? I mean, this morning you were pretty down."

"Yes, I'm fine it's just- do you think there's anything I should know? You know, to do with Beau." I bring my voice down to a whisper.

She looks around as though she's trying to dig something up and out of her mind.

"Like what? He seems fine to me."

"Are you sure?" I'm not convinced that I'm the only one that senses the danger in Beau's eyes.

She leans over to peer into the car that is parked on the curb a few metres away from us, but I push her back softly.

"Don't look. He's a bit upset. We ran into Yolanda and she said that-"

The car horn sounds, making April and I both jump out of our skin.

She turns to stick her middle finger up at Beau and he returns the impolite gesture.

"I'll tell you later." I whisper as we walk to the car.

We climb into the back of the car without a word and Beau drives off.

April bites her nails hastily as we drive to the hospital. I can see the panic and worry on her face from thinking about the condition of her best friend. I refuse to let my mind wonder down the rabbit hole and fall into deep thought about what may have happened to Esme. Luke sounded pretty shaken up by the situation, so I know I should be preparing for what I am about to see but I just can't. I don't want to imagine what could have happened to her. I'm trying to keep my mind focused on the possibility that, whatever it is, it may not be as bad as we think.

...

In silence, Beau stops the car in it's parking spot and flings his door open.

April looks at me in confusion and I simply shrug my shoulders. Beau's little temper tantrum is not at all my main priority at the moment.
