~ Beau's P.O.V ~
"Open wide baby." Ellie's plump lips come into contact with my fingers, ever so slightly as she engulfs the hand picked strawberrys that I bought out for our date.
It's going good so far to be quite honest. Aside from the fact that I can't manage to keep my fricking hands off of her. But I'm sure my girl doesn't mind.
It's nearly time to get down to business yet the nerves and butterflies I had cleared room for in my stomach are nowhere to be found. Thank fuck for that.
"Oh Beau, I wish we could do this every night." she sighs, throwing her back onto the blanket. I lie beside her.
"Me too El. But don't worry, I'll make it happen, one day."
There I go again, promising a life to her that I know I can't deliver. I just can't help it. I love her. I'd do anything make her smile.
"Do you promise?" She lies down on her side letting her chestnut hair flow down and over her shoulder. So beautiful.
"I don't make promises Ellie." I tell her seriously. "But I do make deals." My mouth twists into a smirk and she catches on to my bargain.
"Like..."
"Say you'll never leave me and I promise that every night that I can, I'll take you on our first date. Until we get it right." The words slide out as I exhale, without my brains consent. But what have I got to loose?
"Don't give me a reason to leave you and you have yourself a deal Mr." She says in a provocative tone.
I lean over and trace a few shapes on her nose with the tip of mine before joining our lips together.
"I have a proposal for you." I say between kisses.
"Go ahead baby." She replies in the same fashion.
"Get in the lake with me?" I ask keeping my lips on hers.
"What? No!" She gasps trying to escape from my mouth.
"Okay let me rephrase slightly. I meant; Get in the lake with me." I demand this time.
I figured that my confessions will be easier in water. So if shit hits the fan, I can drown myself.
"I don't have a choice do I?" she frowns.
"Good girl. You're finally starting to catch on." I patronise her, receiving a deep scowl.
I take her hand and haul her up from the ground swiftly before letting her go.
"You go and get a head start, I'll clear this up." I tell her and she starts off towards the small lake with her eyes glued to the ground.
Once she's a few feet away I gather everything on top of the picnic blanket and shove everything into the basket that I carried here.
Everything is set and ready. I've gone over my lines about a million times, in preparation for this night. The night where I tell her almost everything.
"Beau?" she calls for me and I skip over, basket in hand.
"Yeah baby." I whisper popping up behind her.
"Do I have to?" She whines, pulling the cutest face ever. She's actually adorable.
"Well you know I'd never make you do anything that you didn't want to but if you wanted to make me a really happy boy then you'd get in the lake babe." I bribe her, causing her frown the grow a few centimetres as do my boxers...
