Ice Breaker.. Can I Get With You?

That One Fateful Hockey Game

Jenna decided that after breakfast she'd call Kiana and thell her everything. Kiana was over at my place with Alexander in no time. She was grinning so big I thought of the creepy cat from Alice and Wonderland. I told them to do what they wanted while I went and took a shower. I find it funny how much thinking can get done in the shower. I quickly washed my hair and body after thinking about the whole thing with Brodie. 

What's gonna happen now?

I stepped out of the nice hot shower into coldness. I shivered as i walked into my room to get dressed. I decided today I felt the need to wear jeans and a off the shoulder t-shirt. After I finished getting dressed I dried my hair and straightend it to perfection and did my make up. I walked into the living room to where I thought everyone would be but to my suprise they weren't there. I walked into the kitchen to find them all sitting in a circle with serious looks on their faces. 

Uh-Oh.

I sat down hesitantly by Alexander. He gave me a small smile but then turned his attention to Jenna. I wondered what was going on.. they were happy not long ago.

"Okay, Payton we know that you are hurt about Jesse and we just wanna sa-" 

"I'm not hurt anymore. Sure it was a low time in the start but it's okay now. really." I know it was rude to cut her off.. but I'm sick of people alwasy feeling sorry for me that I lost Jesse. I mean maybe fate had other plans for me right? 

"O-okay then. But if your not hurt anymore why did you tell us last night you were never going to love anyone after Jesse royally screwed you over?" Jenna asked me increduously.

Shit. Didn't see that coming. 

"I-I only said that in the beginning really guys thanks for worrying but I am a big girl I can get over him easily... I promise." I said but I knew that wasn't true. I have to constantly distract myself from not thinking of Jesse.. if I'm not distracted I go in to this sad state.. but I couldn't let them know that. 

Kiana finally spoke up, "What happened with you and Brodiiee?" She smiled and winked at me.

I felt my cheeks instantly blaze red. Everyone was now looking at me with curious smiles on their smug faces. All of them knew I couldn't stand Brodie, so I'm guessing they would NEVER let me live this down. 

"There's nothing to say guys.." I said nonchalantly. "It was a drunken mistake and he probably forgot who I am by now." 

They all nodded, but didn't look convinced. 

"Anyways Ki, Becca, would you guys acompany me to Tyler, Alexander and Brodie's hockey game tonight?" Jenna askked after ten minutes of awkward silence.

"Sure. why not" Me and Kiana said at the same time. Jenna grinned and had a look on her face that I had only seen once before..
