Jenna's point of view 

I was mad. No I was pissed. 

How could Brodie do that to Payton?! I knew my brother was an asshole to girls, but I never in a million years thought he'd be an ass to Payton. I thought he was different with her. I guess I was wrong. 

I texted Brodie telling him he needed to get his ass home NOW! We had A LOT to talk about. I waited an hour for him to text back.He never did. Figures he can talk all tough but couldn't have a conversation with me. I was growing more pissed by the minute. I heard a vehicle pull up the gravel road.

Finally.

In walked Brodie, Tyler, and Alexander. They were pissed drunk. Tyler tried to hug and kiss me, I pulled away and I glared at him.

"What did I do?" Tyler asked me looking worried.

"Nothing. Can you and Alex go upstaris to the game room? Please." I asked him trying so hard to stay calm.

"Why can't we go in the living room?" He slurred his words, which made me more irritated.

"Because Payton is sleeping in there, now go. I have to talk to Brodie." I said while I looked at Brodie who looked like a deer caught in the head lights.

Tyler and Alex staggered their way out of the room. I thought I heard Alex try wake up Payton, but he failed so he left her alone. I turned to my brother, one eyebrow raised as if I was telling him to talk.

"Look Jenna, I figured Payton would tell you what I did.. but I didn't mean to hurt her I-"

"Hurt her! Brodie! Payton hates your guts, she told me and I quote "I never want to see his face or hear his voice EVER! You didn't only hurt her Brodie, you might have ruined any chance you had with her!" I screamed at him.

"I know! I know... but what am I supossed to do Jenna?! HUH? I can't like her and I don't care if she hates me. I am a legend and I can have any girl. Payton is just another puck bunny!" He yelled back at me.

I looked at him shocked."I-is that what you really think of her Brodie? That she's just like those other sluts you get with. She's nothing like those girls and you know it." I said to him as my voice was breaking. 

How could he have said that..

His arms were around me now,"Listen Jenna I know.. I'm sorry.. I didn't mean it any of it. It's just frustrating because I know she hates me and she always has.. but I can't like her.. she's your friend. It's just better this way.I can't hurt her like Jesse did.. and I won't let her hurt me." 

I looked up at him. He looked so vulnerable. 

I really needed to fix this whole situation, but first I need to get some sleep.

I woke up and went downstairs to see Payton in the kitchen making breakfast. 

"Morning Jenna!" Payton said with a smile on her face

"Morning P. How you feeling today?" I asked her with a small smile.

"Oh I feel so much better. Thanks for being there for me." She looked at me and grinned.

I looked at her like she had three heads. Was she crazy? I thought.

"Oh and by the way I'm still never talking Brodie. He can go get hit by a bus." She stated with a scowl.

"O-oh uhm okay?" I was so confused I had no words. 

We ate breakfast and I thought it'd be better to get Payton home before Brodie and tweedle dee and tweedle dum woke up. 

We got in my car and drove. I turned on my ipod and sure enough Baby by Justin Bieber started playing. I looked over at Payton and she grinned and told me to blast it. I did as told and we started to sing along with the song.

I pulled into Payton apartment parking lot. just as the song ended. She gave me amile and hug and with that she got out off my car and went to her house.

We are so weird. I chuckled to myself, as I pulled out of the lot I got the best idea for her birthday! I was gonna fix this problem and make everything better so Payton can finally be happy. she deserved to be happy.
