Ice Breaker.. Can I Get With You?

 I woke up to the sun shining on my face. Sure the sun shines when I feel like crap but when I'm happy it goes in hiding. I walked to the bathroom and plugged in my ipod to the little speakers.  All We'd Ever Need by Lady Antebellum statred to blast, I sang along while I let the water from the shower hit my very tense muscles. I was dreding this day but was happy for one thing. Mike and Jordan were coming to dinner. I did everything I had to do to be presentable, and made my way back to my room. 

I was just pulling my top on when my door opened. 

"Shit. Sorry Payton I should have knocked I just thought I'd surprise you." I smiled and pulled my shirt the rest of the way down. I decided i would be chill today so I was wearing my UGGS boots and Lulu Lemon pants, and a pink crop top that had "Always in Love" written in black. Oh yes, I wanted to looked good but still be comfortable.

I turned around and met the most stunning blue eyes. I missed those eyes so much. I ran and gave Mike a hug. 

"It's fine Mike, just maybe knock next time," I winked at him and he flushed red. I made Mike blush! 

"Hey so listen I was wondering what is going on with you and Brodie? I mean you ran out of the grocery store so fast." I looked down and frowned. I honestly had no idea what was happening between us. I looked at Mike, he had a concerned look on his face. I sighed.

"I don't know.. it's like there are two Brodies when it comes to me... like when we are alone he is so sweet and caring and just great.. and then when everyone else is around he is a total ass to me... it's like he's embarrassed to be seen with me and I just don't know anymore." 

Mike shook his head and I felt the tears well up in my eyes.. god how much can one person cry? Mike must have seen the tears because he had me in his arms so fast I was a little shocked. 

"Payton don't cry. Do you want to go to the game today? Because I'll stay here with you if you don't." 

"No.. I really can't look at Brodie after yesterday."

"What happened? You don't have to tell if you don't want to." 

"No, no it's fine, well this is stupid but a few nights ago Brodie said he was in love with me.. but then yesterday he just called me the team bitch and that hurt.. it really just broke my heart.. I don't want to like him anymore Mike.. all liking has done to me is confuse me and hurt me over and over again."

I started to cry again and Mike held me tight in his arms. I loved how easy it was to talk to Mike. He was so caring and I really loved Mike for being here. We stayed like that for a long time, finally I remembered I had to Kiana and Alex their meds. I got up and Mike followed me looking so confused, in the kitchen I grabbed the pill bottle and grabebd four of the tiny tablets. and a glass of water.

"Whoa Payton I know your hurtin but don't take pills.. what if you overdose?" 

"Mike.. uhm these are Kiana and Alexanders pain killers." 

The look on his face made me double over in laughter. I walked by him and went to the living room, I stopped laughing once I saw Brodie sitting on the couch with Alexander and Kiana snuggled up on the smaller couch. Anger rose into my throat.

"Hey asshole, get up and give the injured ones the bigger couch."

"What's your problem?"  I was stupified. He was really gonna play clueless! This guy really knew how to make me mad.

"Nothing! It's just not fair how your making Kiana and Alexander squish on to that small couch, Alexander has a broken collar bone and Kiana has stiches that can burst open yet you still don't care! What kind of heartless person are you?!"
