*Four Years Later*

I heard once that "All love shifts and changes. I don't know if you can wholeheartedly be in love all the time." I don't believe that for one second. Because life is funny, it pushes pretty hard and makes you step up and rise above yourself. I love my wife Payton each and everyday. I love the daughter we have and the I'm going to love the baby boy that is due any day now.

"Brodie you need to get up off your lazy ass and get to your first game of the season!" I could hear the smile in her voice. I got up and picked up my hockey bag.

"Daddy! Daddy! Do I get to come to your game?" I smiled as my babygirl, Miakoda Hunters ran into my arms and hugged me. We picked that name for her because Payton loved it and she said it meant Power of the moon. I had agreed because it was original and I get too choose my baby boy's name. I am dead set to name my babyboy Nolan Hunters. I smiled thinking about holding a baby boy, my baby boy.

"Of course, Koda you and mommy are my good luck charms!" I started to tickle Miakoda as she screamed and wiggled to get free. I put her down and she ran to Payton. Payton playfully scolded me and hugged and kissed me.

"So what's this I hear of me being a charm?" I shivered as her breath tickled my ear. I looked at the clock and took in a breath. I looked at my wife and my her baby bump. I grabbed my keys and ran out of the mansion. I jumped into my Mercedes-Benz. Being drafted three years ago into the Boston Bruins, sure had it's perks. The Bruins were a cool team, even when they lost... all the guys were cool.

Me, Alex, and Tyler are still close and our wives are closer than ever. My little sister Jenna and Tyler have a babyboy and Jenna named him Asher Scott. Alexander and Kiana aparently are trying for a kid, so Payton tells me. Tyler plays for the Pittsburg Penguins and Alexander plays for the Vancouver Canucks. We have friendly rivalry on the ice but it has never got too bad.

"Hunters! Nice of you to show up!" I sighed as the coach watched me walk into the change room. I walked over to where my jersey hung. I quickly changed and waited for Payton's call. I smiled as my phone buzzed and I knew my two fave girls were at my game. Their support was everything to me.

"Hey baby, Miakoda wanted to say good luck to you, so here she is!" I smiled as I heard the loud music and my babys laughter.

"GOOD LUCK DADDY!" I chuckled and said my goodbyes. It was game time. It was time to beat the Capitals.

First period was killer. The Caps had a lot of good hits and I got hit a lot. Chara was always there to have my back when I got hit so I was greatful for that. I sat in the change room and my phone went off as coach was telling us the play. I looked at the caller i.d and it was Payton. I answered in a hurry and heard crying.

"Payton babe what's wrong?" I was getting worried when I heard the heavy breathing.

"B-Brodie, i-it's TIME!" I was confused at her words and then it clicked. I said a quick ok and hung up. By this time everyone was staring at me. I looked up with a grin and everyone seemed to know what was happening. Chara and Seguin clapped my shoulder as I tried to quickly change my skates for shoes.

Once I was changed I ran into the lobby of the arena. I saw Payton sitting there with two medic's and Miakoda surrounding her. I ran over to my beautiful,sweaty, panting wife. Even covered in sweat i thought she was the most attractive woman in the world.

"Brodie we need to get to the hospital, like NOW!" I smiled and nodded quickly. I was bubbling with excitment. Just a few hours and I'll have a boy. I picked up Payton bridal style and Miakoda grabbed my pant leg. I placed Payton into the passsenger seat of her truck and buckled Miakoda into her carseat. I sped all the way to the hospital and only got stopped once, but the police officer let me go once he noticed Payton huffing and puffing in her seat.

12 hours of labor for Payton and finally she had delived our baby. He was handsome like me. Nolan Hunters, my handsome babyboy. My whole team showed up with gifts for my boy, they congradulated me and Payton for our new adition and I congradulated them on brutally beating the Caps. 9-4!

Life was so great and I was set for life. I had my family, my friends, and my team. Everything was great. I knew Payton loved our life we started four years ago. And as far as I'm concerned my family isn't done growing yet. I was very happy. Mine and Payton's life was good even fairy tale chatacters are jealous.
