Chapter 7 - Forgot

Louis' P.O.V

            "Sofia?" I slowly creep into the darkly lit room and nudge the small innocent looking girl lying on the bed.

            "Go away Lou." She whispers. I turn to leave when she starts to cry.

            "Sofia..."I mumble and make my way to sit beside her. Sofia faces me.

            "Why? Why does this happen to me?" She starts bawling and I wrap my arms around her.

            "I don't know Sofs, I just don't know."

Kath's P.O.V

            "Do you want a cup of tea?" I ask Harry. I kind of stare at him awkwardly. I mean, he's been living here way longer than I have...

            "Are you sure you know where it is?" He asks me.

            "Yeah, obviously..." I say as I reach into the nearest cupboard. I start looking around the cupboard, frantically trying to find the tea. I hear a chuckle of laughter from behind me and I turn to glare at Harry.

            "It's just...the tea's in the cupboard above the stove." Harry winks, walking past me and reaching inside the cabinet. "How about I make it? Why don't you go sit in the living room? Let me take care of you." He says the last bit quietly, and as I'm leaving. My throat goes dry...what is going on here?

            "Tea's ready!" Harry calls. "I'll bring it in on a tray, so then you don't have to get up ok?"            "Great!" I croak out. I don't know what's wrong with me...just yesterday I would've killed for this chance, but today? I just want to be alone. Just when Harry came and sat beside me, the doorbell rang.

            "I'll get it!" I jump up from the couch and rush to the door. It's Zayn. And he looks absolutely adorable in his varsity jacket.

    Zayn's P.O.V

  "Um...hey Kath...is Louis or Harry here?" I ask uncomfortably.

            "Uh...Lou's kind of busy, but Harry's free, I think." She shrugs, inviting me in. I take off my coat and hang it in the closet beside the door. At the same time Kath reaches for the closet and our hands brush each others. Chills run down my spine, and my heart skips a few beats.

            "Zayn. What are you doing here?" Harry demands. Oh shit. From the look on Harry's face, I can tell I came at the exact wrong moment.

            Harry's P.O.V

   I could kill Zayn, right here, right now. He knew that I wanted to talk to Kath alone, but now he has to come in, spoiling everything, just because he has to be his usual caring self, making all the girls fall for him. He'd better remember Kath's off limits..

FEW HOURS LATER

 Louis' P.O.V

          The pounding knock on the door awakes me and Sofia from sleeping.

            "What do you want?" Sofia whines, obviously pissed off from being woken up.

            "It's Zayn." He quietly whispers from outside the door. I get up off the floor and open the door.

            "Yeah?" I question. Zayn nods to Sofia on her bed and asks,

            "Can I talk to Sofia? Alone?" I turn to face Sofia, who is nodding like crazy. I pull Zayn out of the room before I leave the two of them alone.

            "If you do anything...." I threaten him and walk down the stairs. He'd better not hurt her; if he does...I'll kill him. But I trust Zayn. He's kind of like the anchor for everyone. He helps us out with all our problems, he's the one we all lean on. I'm just hoping he'll be able to help Sofia.

 Kath's P.O.V

 "And so we had to quickly run away, before we could get caught." Harry laughs and winks. I start to laugh to, easing all my stress away. Maybe, Harry isn't such a bad guy.

 Natalie's P.O.V

 The rain has made me soaking wet, and I feel like an idiot...thanks to Louis.

 Louis' P.O.V

     "What are you guys laughing about?" I ask when I see Kath and Harry doubled over in laughter on the couch.

            "N-nothing." Kath smiles. "So, how's Sofia?"

            "Better I think, but not completely."

            "What's wrong?" Harry asks with concern.

            "It's just, missing our parent's I think. It's never really caught up to her until now. It's fairly difficult for her, for both of us."

            "Yeah, of course it would be Lou." Kath whispers. I slump down on the couch, afraid I'm going to start crying now, only there's no shoulder for me to lean on. The doorbell rings, and Harry goes up to get it. A minute later he comes back, with an alarmed look on his face.

            "Uh, Lou? It's for you." I wipe my eyes and head to the doorway. I look up and see her. Oh shit....I completely forgot to text her about the change of plans.
