"You'll be pleased mom," Beca grinned as she sat across the kitchen island from her mother, coffee cup in hand.
"And why's that?" The older woman smirked slightly, Beca had definitely acquired that from her.
"I'm getting tutoring,"
"Tutoring? Well what for?" She asked.
"English. I'm usually okay but we're studying Macbeth and you know I struggle with Shakespeare so my teacher had offered me tutoring. I have it tonight," Beca explained.
"Oh I see, that's great, couldn't have you failing a class could we," Beca's mom laughed as she stood from the kitchen island.
"Never. So I'll be back later tonight because of it," Beca shrugged as she downed her left over coffee and went to get ready for school.
"Ok sweetie I'm going, call me if you want a lift back," Beca's mom called.
"Shall do mom," the brunette shouted from upstairs. Beca slumped on her bed as she heard the lock turn in the door, alone at last, her dad was away on business for the week which just left her and her mom. They had a good relationship, better then her and her dads and Beca talked to her mom about anything and everything. Her parents were out a lot, her dad had business trips whenever and her mom worked pretty long hours at an accounting firm. They'd occasionally binge watch Netflix together curled on the couch and end up in fits of giggles or sleeping against eachother in the early night. Beca grinned and shook her head as she got up and started preparing for the school day.

As Beca slipped on her shoes she heard a knock on her door,
"It's open Jesse," the brunette shouted towards the door and it soon swung open and Jesse hopped inside.
"Ready?" He asked with a small smile.
"Yep," Beca nodded as she grabbed her bag and her headphones before trudging out of the door and locking it behind her.
"Want to catch a movie tonight?" Jesse asked as they began their walk to Barden.
"Um, I can't," Beca replied.
"Busy?"
"Yeah, something like that,"
"What've you got on?"
"Err, tutoring,"
"For what?" Jesse asked, intrigued as he turned to Beca and cocked an eyebrow. She'd never been one to ask for help.
"English, we're doing Macbeth and I don't understand, and you know the deal, no car if I don't pass,"
"So it's nothing to do with Miss Beale?" Jesse asked as he nudged Beca's shoulder.
"What? No, not at all," Beca shook her head harshly. Although as she thought about it, extra time with the woman wasn't exactly a negative.
"If you say so, Stacie told me about how you check her out in class," Jesse laughed.
"I so do not," Beca scoffed as they continued walking in silence. The brunette had to admit her eyes may have roamed once or twice but it didn't matter, it didn't mean anything, did it?

Beca unlocked her locker and got out her books for the day, easily slipping them into her bag as she trudged to her music class early. She swung open the door lazily and trudged to a seat,
"Early," her teacher commented with a smirk.
"You know I can't resist it Mr Green," Beca laughed, "can I get a guitar?"
"Feel free," he gestured toward the cupboard at the end of the room. Mr Green and Beca had a sort of friendship, he was in his late 30's with a mess of brown curls and the pair shared a loving passion for music. Whenever Beca needed assistance with writing a song or practicing a melody, she would always go to Mr Green and the pair would work it out together. It lead to them being quite close and he had high hopes for the young brunette to go into the music industry, she just needed to work on it.
Beca came back with a guitar and gave it a strum, instantly grimacing,
"Sounds like something needs tuning," Mr Green laughed, without lifting his head off the paper on his desk.
"Just a bit," Beca replied, setting the guitar on her knee as she tightened and loosened the strings until it sounded playable. She smiled as she began strumming the guitar, instantly being transported to the place that only music could take her. Beca's dream of being a music producer was still very much in her mind, and the more she played and the better she got, the more she thought about it. She could graduate this year, maybe take a year out to 'travel' and return to her music dream. Beca smiled as she began playing a tune on the guitar, her foot tapping along to the beat as usual.
"Got any lyrics for it yet?" Mr Green asked, meeting the brunettes gaze.
"Um, no, I saw it on the internet somewhere," Beca shrugged.
"You should do some, switch up the tune and add some lyrics, you got yourself a song," he laughed.
"I dunno, I'm not too good at that," Beca shrugged.
"You done it before kid," she raised his eyebrow at Beca who rolled her eyes as she began strumming the strings of the guitar again.

The day had passed too fast and Beca was trudging out of her chem class with Stacie in tow,
"Have fun tonight Becs," Stacie winked a she gave the brunette a slap on her ass as they parted.
"Piss off home Stacie," Beca huffed as she began walking towards her English room for her tutoring with Miss Beale, a smirk playing on her lips.
She walked into the classroom and sank into a chair near the front as usual and waited for the older woman, pulling out her book and a pen and placing them on her desk. The door swung gently open just then and Miss Beale walked in, glasses perched on her head, keeping any stray hairs out of her face. She smiled gently at Beca as she placed her coat on the back of her chair, she surprised the brunette by grabbing a seat and pulling it up next to Beca's desk.
"Ready?" She asked.
"Sure," Beca shrugged, trying to control her breathing at the feeling of her teacher so close in the chair next to her.
"I thought we could start of easy, I've looked at your work and I think I know what you're struggling with, I have 4 questions to go through if that's ok," she explained.
"Whatever sounds good to me, I'll try," Beca gave a smile as she opened her book and picked up her pen.

The two had been working through the questions together for about 40 minutes when the redhead noticed Beca's leg bouncing on the floor as they read through another extract,
"You alright there?" Miss Beale asked as she gestured to Beca's leg. The brunette quickly noticed what she'd been doing and gave a light chuckle,
"Sorry Miss"
"Please, when we're in tutoring call me Chloe, it's easier on the both of us," the redhead smiled lightly.
"Right, got it," Beca gave a tight nod as they returned to reading the extract and analysing their final question. It was a few minutes later when Beca felt a hand on her leg, her eyes flicked down to see Chloe's palm rested on her thigh,
"You're going to kick me soon," she laughed softly, referring to the fact that Beca's leg was still slightly bouncing even with her hand on it. Beca immediately felt the heat rush to her face as she felt the warmth of Chloe's palm on her leg and just managed to stutter out a small response,
"Right.. s-sorry," she let her leg rest yet the redheads hand remained securely on her thigh for a few seconds before she withdrew it with a small cough.
Beca managed to finish the question with aid from Chloe within 10 minutes as the brunette lay her pen down with a small smile and leant back.
"Awesome," Chloe smiled at Beca, "you did well,"
"Thanks, I don't know what I found so difficult, but then they were only one type of question," Beca shrugged.
"Well we can work through more together each week, if you'd still like to continue that is," Chloe asked.
"Yeah, I'd love to, you've been a lot of help," Beca nodded slowly as she glanced at her hands in her lap. Silence followed and Beca could feel the older woman's gaze on her and glanced up to meet her blue orbs, the pair stayed like that for what seemed like minutes but was barely seconds, before Chloe stood and placed her chair behind a desk.
"So same time next week?" She asked as she pushed her glasses onto her head once again.
"Um, yeah," Beca smiled weakly as she began packing her things up and slipped her book into her bag, she stood and walked towards the door, hesitating slightly as she heard Chloe speak.
"Good job Beca, see you tomorrow," she spoke softly.
"Yeah, thanks mis-" Beca stopped herself as she saw the quirk in the redheads brow, "thank you Chloe," she finished with a nod as she left the room.
Beca leant her head against the wall as she walked outside and took a deep breath. Where had all her confidence gone? All her sarcasm and wit were instantly replaced with nerves and butterflies the minute she came into contact with the redhead. The brunette had sworn she felt electricity run through her very veins as she placed a hand on her thigh in an attempt to calm Beca's nerves yet only heightened them. And what was with this Chloe business, Beca didn't mind obviously, it was a lot easier, but wasn't it also... unprofessional or something? Beca shook her head and muttered to herself, what was this woman doing to her?
