Mid January.

Beca arrived at Stacie's at around 9pm, hauling some of her mixing kit with her, she knocked loudly on the door.
"Hey," Stacie grinned as she swung the door open and let Beca in.
"Hey," Becca nodded back.
"C'mon I'll show you where you'll be stationed for the night," Stacie winked.
"I said an hour and a half and I'm not doing a second more," Beca warned.
"Hmm we'll see," Stacie hummed as she brought Beca into the main room in her house.
"Oh you're going all out," Beca laughed as she saw the room. In the corner there was a small but sturdy table, standing about a foot off the ground with a desk arranged on it.
"Jesse provided the podium thing, he thought you'd like it and it'd be easier," she shrugged with a laugh. Beca shook her head with a chuckle as she dug into her bag and brought out her laptop, putting it on the table and connecting up her mixing kit to it. Once finished she turned back to Stacie,
"Well, what else?" She asked.
"Come on out," Stacie beckoned.
"Think I did that a while ago Stace," Beca smirked as she followed the brunette.
"Ha what a joke. Never heard that one before," Stacie drawled, "check it out," she gestured to her back yard.
Stacie was lucky that although her house wasn't the biggest on her estate, she had one of the biggest gardens, and she took advantage of it, having garden parties in the summer and often inviting the Mitchell's round for dinner. Down one side was a table with an assortment of drinks laid out on it,
"I told others to bring drink as well so we should be fine," Stacie chuckled.
"How many people are coming?"
"Around 70 I think," Stacie shrugged.
"And noise complaints aren't going to bother you?" Beca questioned, thinking logically.
"Ahh now that's one problem, but it's a Friday so no ones going to bed early, and one of my neighbours is away on holiday in Tenerife or something," Stacie shrugged.
"Sounds like you couldn't of picked a better time,"
"Exactly, it's almost fate! We need to get ready, grab a drink and we'll head upstairs." Beca swiped a beer from the table and opened it, taking a swig before following Stacie with her bag upstairs.

It was nearly 11pm and Beca had been mixing for just over an hour. She had to admit, it was fun, seeing the people that were in the house surrounding her nodding her head along with the best or a few groups dancing along. She was grinning as she held her earphones to her ear and smoothly blended the tracks together, allowing sound to fill both the house and garden. She saw Jesse squeezing through the crowd and smiled at him, setting her earphones down to crouch slightly and talk to him.
"You look like your having fun," she shouted with a laugh.
"Ok I admit, it's not as bad as I thought it would be," Beca grinned as she strained to be heard over the music.
"There's chat about you around here," he grinned.
"There's always chat about a hot DJ," Beca shouted with a smile.
"Do you want another drink? Looks like you're supply's low," Jesse gestured to her beer bottle balanced precariously beside her laptop.
"Just one more please, I can't be having myself get too tipsy around this stuff," she smiled, thanked him and went back to her mixing.
Looking around, the party was in full flow, she could see people gathered around a table playing beer pong, and other drinking games were undoubtedly happening in the garden. She could see Stacie out of the window in the low light in conversation with a boy she thought was on the Barden soccer team. He would occasionally drop to whisper something in her ear, causing her smile to widen and for her hand to delicately touch his chest. Beca shook her head with a light chuckle, she simply couldn't stop her friend from flirting with or sleeping with whoever she wanted. All she could do was warn her to be careful. In that moment, Beca's thoughts drifted back to Chloe, about what happened 2 weeks ago when the pair sat opposite in her apartment. For a few reasons, Beca was glad it happened, it allowed her to be more free, no constant thought that they were going to get caught, no more worry about if they were going too fast.
But Beca tried to not admit it, did her best to not let it show, that she still felt something for the redhead. Still relished the times Chloe would hold her gaze for a bit longer than usual in class, the way her hands would clam up when she had to ask Chloe for help with a question. But it was over for now, if Chloe came to her and said she wanted to get back together, she would agree, but then, it'd only been 2 weeks not over 6 months.
She shook her head of the thoughts as she turned to see Jesse holding a Bert towards her. She thanked him with a wink before returning to spinning her tracks.

"Thanks for that Beca it was sooooo good," Stacie smiled as she leant on her shoulder.
"Yeah yeah, I need to get my party on," Beca laughed as she looked around the bustling garden, most people had come outside to enjoy some fresh air, and since Beca wasn't mixing anymore, lots of people had moved outside.
"New game of beer pong!" Stacie shouted loudly, "me and Damon against the DJ and someone else," she added, pointing towards the boy from the soccer team she had been talking to earlier. Cups were filled and set up as Beca and Stacie walked to opposite sides of the table.
Beca soon felt someone behind her,
"Looks like the DJ needs a partner," a voice spoke. Beca spun round to see who it was. A girl stood there, dressed in a skintight dress, her light brown hair falling straight down her back and over her shoulder. She smiled at Beca, showing her perfect teeth and making her green eyes sparkle.
"Looks like I'm in luck," Beca replied as she raked her eyes up and down the girl's figure.
"I'm Sam," she smiled again as she joined Beca at the table.
"Beca," she smiled, "let's go Stacie I have myself a partner," she grinned as someone threw her a ball.

It turned out Sam was really good at the game. Hardly ever missing the cup Beca watched Stacie and Damon down cup after cup, it clearly taking a toll on the brunette as she swayed a giggled, clutching Damon's arm. Beca and Sam had also had to drink a few of their cups, Beca now feeling extra tipsy and Sam was definitely drunk. Stacie and Damon had just one cup left to Beca and Sam's three. The brunette watched Damon launch the ball, hitting the rim of the cup and bouncing off. She smiled as she bent down to pick up the ball and tossing it around in her hands. She felt Sam kiss her on the cheek and whisper something in her ear. She threw the ball and watched it perfectly splash into Stacie's cup. Cheers erupted from those watched the game and from Sam, who turned Beca's face and pulled her into a kiss, instantly adding in her tongue. Wolf whistles sounded from around the pair and Beca chuckled as she broke away, settling for placing an arm around Sam's waist as they watched Stacie drop the empty cup back into the table with a laugh.

"You been mixing long?" Sam asked. Her and Beca were on the couch inside at 1am, a few people had decided to go home but the rest were either still partying hard or crashed out on the floor.
"Since I was 12," Beca nodded.
"It's hot," Sam laughed as she took another swig of a beer, "you're hot," she added, looking at Beca. The brunette smiled. She'd enjoyed Sam's company through the night, she was fun to be around and also attractive so Beca wasn't going to complain. Her thoughts where interrupted when Sam straddled her lap and tilted her head up, catching her lips in hers. The kiss was desperate, almost as if she'd been waiting all night for something to give her release. Their tongue's moved in sync before Sam dropped her head to kiss slowly along Beca's jawline and neck, rocking her hips against Beca's. She leaned up once more to kiss the brunette, letting her hands wander and start unbuttoning Beca's shirt, eventually pushing it aside and at once kissing down to the curve of the brunettes breast, rocking her hips harder against Beca to try and gain some friction.
"You're so fucking hot," Beca heard her mumble and suddenly she froze. Thoughts flooded her mind of when she had been in this exact situation with Chloe, heard those exact words uttered from the redhead's mouth and she kissed against Beca's skin.
"Hey, hey Sam," Beca pushed lightly against the brunette, having to try hard to distract her from her current task of kneading her through her bra.
"Sam, stop," Beca said as she caught her hand, at once bringing the girl's attention back to her, Beca observed how her breaths were short and fast and her eyes dilated.
"I can't do this I'm sorry," Beca shook her head.
"What the fuck Beca?" Sam asked.
"Um, sorry I can't. I need to go and find Stacie," Beca stumbled out.
"Fine, do whatever, see you around," Sam huffed, rolling back onto the couch with a scowl as she watched Beca leave to find Stacie.

"She was an ass," Stacie sighed as she lay in bed, talking to Beca who was on the floor beside her. The pair had sobered up a little and tidied as much as they could after kicking out the majority of the drunks throughout the night.
"She was okay at the start, an ass at the end," Beca shrugged in the dark as she gulped down more water.
"Yeah, you'll find better," Stacie yawned.
"Yeah... night Stace, great party," Beca smiled groggily.
"Glad you came," was the whisper that followed as the pair buried their heads into their pillows, the sun already starting to peek over the horizon.
