A/N:
So I might start using songs in this fic from now on so you guys can imagine the characters playing or whatever... They'll be songs that artists have already made so I'll state them in each chap so you can listen to them! Ft in this update is 'JP Cooper - September Song'.It was Thursday morning and Beca sat with Amy in the back of Mr Green's classroom as they waited for him to enter.
"Alright guys," he came in and clapped his hand, waiting for the conversation in the classroom to fizzle out, "y'all know I don't really mind what you do in these lessons, and seeing as we've finished all the work needed for this semester, you can basically do whatever you want," he shrugged.
"Like what Sir?" A voice called.
"I don't know! Obviously all the instruments are available, you can use them to do whatever, you can do your math homework, you could make origami, maybe put on a drama performance, it's up to you," Mr Green finished with a laugh.
"Sick," a boy called."What're you gonna do shawshank," Amy turned to Beca.
"Um, I'm not too sure," Beca shrugged.
"C'mon you know your hands are aching to get on that guitar," Amy laughed as she hopped up and picked up the nearest guitar, sitting down and handing Beca it with a grin.
"Thanks?"
"You're very welcome shorty," Amy grinned, "well come on then, you must have something to do with it," the blonde gestured wildly to Beca, who just sat with the guitar position normally under her arm. Beca rolled her eyes and sighed,
"Fine, I recently learnt the chords for this," Beca said as she started to hum the opening chords to 'September Song'.
As the brunette reached the second chorus, she found that Amy had joined in singing and the two were matching pitch rather well, Beca smiled up at the blonde as she brought the song to a close.
"You sing well," Beca complimented.
"Nothing on you," Fat Amy grinned, "ooh looks like we have a bit of an audience, I mean I am talented but c'mon," she laughed as she looked around the room. It was apparent that a few people had looked up from their work and had been watching Beca and Amy singing, including Mr Green who sat at the front of the class, a smirk on his face as he nodded slightly at Beca, a silent notion of approval.
"Do they have a choir here?" Amy asked distractedly.
"They did a while ago, it was pretty shit though, Green made me go for a couple of weeks but I couldn't deal with it," Beca laughed.
"Sounds fair to me," Amy chuckled too, "alright Shawshank, I have some calculus to do so I'll leave you to your strumming," she gestured down to the guitar with a wink as she turned to her seat and pulled out her calculus book. Beca smiled lightly as she brushed her fingers over the strings once again, thinking of what to play next.Soon it was the end of the day and Beca had strolled into Chloe's class with a smile.
"Chloe Beale's tutoring service still open for the evening?" Beca asked as she rounded the corner.
"Only if Beca Mitchell's 'quick, get some answers for the test tomorrow' isn't part of it," Chloe smiled.
"Who'd you think I am," Beca smirked as she sat at her usual place on the edge of the redhead's desk, "I'll be fine I hope,"
"You will Beca, it's not like you're an idiot," Chloe laughed. Beca simply shrugged as she hopped off the desk and grabbed the pen on Chloe's desk before going to get her book and pulling up a chair.
"So what wisdom will you impart on me today Beale," Beca smirked.
"That my favourite breakfast food is definitely blueberry pancakes," Chloe pondered with a smile as she leant back in her chair.
"Ha funny, and mine's a strong coffee and a sausage roll," Beca replied slightly sarcastically.
"Woah is it really?"
"Hell yeah, have you ever had one?!"
"Well obviously, I thought you were the one who didn't like sausages," Chloe smirked.
"Oh dear god Chlo," Beca laughed slightly as she watched Chloe erupt into giggles beside her, "please remind me how old you are! I never realised I was dating a horny 17 year old!" Beca told her, shoving Chloe's shoulder slightly.
"Dating?" Chloe pondered with a slight smirk after she processed what the brunette had said.
"Well, y-you know what I mean," Beca stammered slightly as she tried to play it off, she hadn't really meant to say dating but it just came out, "can we like do something now, I kinda wanna pass tomorrow,"
"Sure," Chloe smiled sweetly as she placed her hand on Beca's thigh, giving it a quick squeeze before she picked up the Macbeth book next to her.An hour later and the pair had finished their tutoring session. Beca smiled as she leant back in her chair, flipping her book shut,
"I'm a genius,"
"Well I wouldn't stretch it that far," Chloe smirked when Beca flipped her off, "I'm joking, obviously,"
"You wait until I absolutely ace your test, then you'll see," Beca pointed at the older woman with a determined smile.
"I'll look forward to marking it,"
"And I'll look forward to my reward," Beca said as she got up to put her book away in her bag.
"Oh and what might that be? Chocolate? Bag of candy?" Chloe laughed.
"Oh Beale I think you could do better than that for me," Beca smirked as she returned to perch on Chloe's desk, enjoying how the redhead's cheeks turned pink at her comment.
"It depends on how well you do," Chloe stood with a smile, before having her wrist grabbed lightly and tugged towards the brunette. Their lips collided as Beca smiled into the kiss,
"I'll try my very best for you," she mumbled against Chloe's lips before kissing her again, Chloe smiling broadly as the pair pulled away, running her hands up the girl's thighs with a shake of her head,
"You do like to break the rules. Come on I'll give you a ride home," she offered and Beca smiled as she hopped off the desk and collected her things. As Beca walked through the door she called out,
"I'm home," she listened for a response.
"Bec, in here," she heard her mom call so rounded the corner, dropping her bag on the floor in the process and slumping onto the couch, seeing her mom and dad sat watching the TV.
"We might as well talk to you now Beca," her father started, worried thoughts flashed through her head, they can't know about Chloe can they?
"Recently me and your mom have been thinking," he began and Beca forced a slight smile, "you're old enough to drive now," the old man smiled and Beca let out the breath she'd been holding.
"Yeah I know that Dad," she said.
"Yes well if you'll let your father speak," Beca's mom said with a smile.
"A friend at work is selling a car, it's a Camaro in black," at this Beca's jaw nearly dropped, "now the bad part is that it's quite knocked up, so maybe you and Jesse and Stacie can have a go at fixing it? I'll help too when I'm around but I thought it would be better than just giving you a car. If you want, I would quite happily buy you it from him for your first car," he finished with a grin.
"Are you serious?! Oh my god that's awesome," Beca grinned widely.
"But, its kind of a Christmas gift as well," Beca's mom interjected.
"Oh yeah of course, I don't mind," Beca smiled.
"I'll give him a call tonight," her dad spoke.
"Honestly thank you guys so much," Beca stood and wrapped each of her parents in a hug.
"In the new year we can start working towards you getting your licence,"
"That's so cool, thank you guys," Beca said, still smiling from ear to ear as she slung her bag over her shoulder and headed upstairs.
"I love you," she called down with a laugh as she collapsed on her bed, fist-pumping the air. She might not be the first of her friends to get a car, as Jesse got one about 3 months ago, but hers would for sure be the best. Plus, with the added four wheels, she could take Chloe out anywhere she wants for dates and they could actually be themselves. Beca smiled again as she pulled her phone out to text Stacie the good news.
