Beca woke up with her head thudding lightly. She groaned as she raised her arms to wipe her face before opening her eyes. Her face scrunched up in confusion as she scanned the room she was in, a blanket wrapped around her torso as she lay on a couch. Her eyes fell on a framed photo on the wall across from her showing a small redhead girl with a man with brown eyes and a bright smile, Beca froze. The previous nights events came back to her in a flash and she sat bolt upright, ignoring the dizziness in her head. She glanced down to see clothes that weren't hers and immediately scanned the room for her jeans. Once she'd spotted them she darted to them and began pulling them on,
"Shit, shit, shit," she repeated as she stripped and changed back into her clothes, before folding up what she'd been wearing and the blanket and placing them on top of a pillow. Beca brushed her hair out of her face and stopped for a moment, she was in Chloe's house. She was in her teacher's house. Beca groaned once again as she contemplated leaving, but she couldn't, not after Chloe kindly brought her back here and helped her, and she really had to sort out her headache.
So instead, Beca span on her heel and headed towards the redhead's kitchen quietly. She opened all the cupboards until she came across medical supplies and found the Advil, she popped two and took them with a swig of water before downing the rest of the drink. Beca let her eyes fall closed for a second as she assessed the situation, she quickly grabbed her phone from the coffee table to see four missed calls, 2 from Stacie and 2 from her mom, she swiped her phone open eagerly and sent them both a text.Me [8:12am]: Ended up home okay, speak to you later Stace!
Me [8:13am]: Mom, I stayed over at Stacie's sorry for not calling. xBeca sighed as she locked her phone and leant back against Chloe's kitchen counter, she wondered how the redhead wasn't up yet but then again it was a Saturday. Beca managed to work the redheads coffee machine to make a simple coffee, leaving one on the counter as she searched for a pen and paper to write a note.
'Chloe, thank you so much for last night but we need to talk, I'm sorry, enjoy the coffee? Beca scrawled as she straightened her back and left the note on the steaming coffee mug. She walked quietly back to the couch she slept on and bent to straighten the cushions."Leaving me with a note?"
"Oh shit," Beca whispered to herself as she leant back up with a sigh, averting her gaze from the redhead and instead letting them linger on the woman's legs, clad in short shorts as her tanned pins extended for what seemed like miles. Beca coughed lightly as she glanced up to see the knowing smirk on the redheads face.
"I thought I might make it out alive that way," Beca shrugged. Chloe laughed lightly as she walked past the brunette to the kitchen and picked up the coffee, nodding a thanks to Beca as she brought it to her lips.
"Miss Bea-" Beca begun.
"Chloe." She interrupted.
"Chloe. I'm incredibly sorry for last night, I don't have an excuse for what I did and said but I did it and I can't undo it. I know I shouldn't have been drinking that much but there was a party and I got carried away and w-" Beca rambled before being interrupted.
"Beca, you don't have to explain yourself to me. You're a teen, I get it, I went partying when I was your age and got a bit drunk, it's normal. But I'll have you know that this won't happen again and no one is to know about this either, okay?" Chloe asked as she stood opposite the brunette.
"Right, yeah totally," Beca nodded slowly. Chloe understood, and wasn't mad, when the brunette thought about it, Chloe didn't have to take her back to her place, she could've been persistent and driven her home or just dropped her, Chloe actually cared, however little, and that made the girls heart swell slightly at how considerate and understanding the woman actually was.
"Um, thanks for the clothes, the couch, the water, all that.." Beca trailed off as the pair stood in an awkward silence.
"Well I couldn't let you sleep in jeans on the floor could I, however much I would have liked to," the redhead winked as she spun around again and flicked her coffee machine on again.
"Black?" She asked.
"Wha- shouldn't I be... yeah, black," Beca mumbled as she contemplated leaving before realising Chloe wanted her to stay.A while later, the pair sat at opposite ends of a couch, sipping on coffee's in silence as Beca simply stared at the redhead. Her reading glasses covered her eyes as she read through the paper, her red curls were in a messy bun with a few pieces framing her face. Her shorts showed her leg sprawled along the length of the couch as one tucked to her chest, covered by a plain navy tee. Beca took in every detail of this new domestic version of Chloe Beale she was seeing and as her eyes flicked back to the redheads eyes she saw them boring into her own. Beca immediately felt the rush of blood to her cheeks as she had been caught again checking the older woman out, yet stayed staring into the light blue eyes of her teacher. She saw the slight smirk present on her lips as she let her eyes fall back to the paper with a light shake of her head. Beca finished the last of her coffee and placed it on the table in the middle of the room.
"I should get going," Beca said as she stood up and brushed herself off.
"Do you know where you are?" Chloe countered with a laugh.
"I have a phone," Beca said, waving said phone in her hand. Chloe simply stood and grabbed her keys from the bowl at the door.
"No, you really don't need to, you really shouldn't," Beca protested as she saw the attire Chloe was dressed in, but the redhead wasn't worried one bit as she grabbed a piece of clothing from the side.
"Beca it's one ride," Chloe laughed as she opened the door after slipping on some shoes and a pair of joggers. Beca just grumbled as she followed the redhead."Here," Beca pointed from the passenger seat as they arrived outside her house, Chloe pulled up on the curb and let Beca get out before rolling down her window.
"Thanks," Beca nodded lightly.
"You're welcome, go easy on the drink next time," the redhead replied.
"Right.."
"Bye Mitchell,"
"Beale," Beca nodded as the pair departed and Beca was left stood on her lawn as her mind processed all that had happened this morning. Chloe was totally different outside of school, friendlier, nice, more... flirty. Beca smirked to herself as she stood on her porch before opening the door and letting herself in."Beca, what the hell happened," Beca's mom stood in the doorway as she watched the brunette enter the house with a roll of her eyes.
"I stayed with Stacie, my phone died and I didn't get your call, it was all okay," Beca lied with a smile.
"Ugh whatever as long as your okay now," her mom brushed it off.
"Yup," Beca replied, popping the 'p' as she grabbed a glass and filled it with water before beginning to down the contents.
"Ooh, still hungover," the older woman laughed.
"Mom, stop." Beca scowled as she walked past the woman.
"Awh my grumpy little girl," Beca's mom cooed with a laugh as the brunette stomped up the stairs, pausing to cast a stern look over her shoulder as she continued to her room.A/N:
