Dear Diary,

Its been two and a half days since I went insane at lunch and, I feel kinda bad. I say "kinda" because I shouldn't have gone off on Bennie like that, but not matter what, he won't learn. Evertime they break up and get back together, he gets hurt. I hate to see him hurt but he NEVER learns! I haven't talked to him since that day. And he hasn't come over to my house. He's probably been with HER. Ughhh. I gotta stop letting her get to me. It's becoming a BIG problem. I miss my bestfriend!! :'(

"Hey, um I'm gonna head over to the store. You want something?"

"Noo." I answered my mom trying to disguise my depression.

"What's wrong?" Why does she see through me?!

"Nothing. Just that my bestfriend is too stupid to see that that- "girl" is wrong for him."

"Oh do tell. Who is this "girl"?

"Alysha. Remember her? And our last day in New York?" An evil smile slithered on my face, and then I remembered that I hardly got to beat her ass, and that frown came right back.

"When poor Bennie had to pick you up like a baby and litterally drag you into the house? Oh yeah, I remember." She laughed. "We were afraid you were going to kill her."

"Well prepare to be afraid all over again, 'cause I was on the verge of disassembling her face on Monday."

"Honey, I thought we came here for a new start. Leave our past, in the past?"

"Well I think I would be able to do that if my past stayed in the past. That- girl moved down here, and Bennie-the-fool went right back to her! I swear he never learns! And I hate to see him get hurt. So I almost let her have it and in the process I had to reassure of the truth too."

"Samantha, what did you do.." Thinking back to Monday.. The guilt creeped up on me. At least for Bennie, not for that- girl.

"Mom I hurt him. He looked so crushed. But I didn't care about that. All I wanted to do was deal with her. I have to stop letting her get to me. Marcus even had to calm me down!"

"Marcus? You mean the boy that Bennie doesn't like? Wait a minute, I smell alittle hypocrisy here."

"That is not the same thing! Don't you dare say that's the same thing! Bennie doesn't know anything about him. He's been through a lot. He just doesn't like him because Marcus gives him a "bad vibe". I was gonna tell him that we started going out and then that- girl happened."

"Well, I wanna meet him. All this talk, I wanna find out for myself."

"Okay mom." I laughed.

"So tell me about him. I would like to know about the young man who is dating my daughter." She tried to sound like one of those overbearing parents who are way too strict on their kids.

"Well, he's really sweet, he's completely gorgeous, and he just makes me feel, good. Like when I went insane on Monday, I stormed off to another table and all I saw was red. I was just staring into space and as soon as he held my hand, I was focused on him. I cooled down. I really like him mom."

"Awww!! Now I'm excited! But yeah, go talk to Bennie. I hate when you guys fight! It makes me sad."

I knocked on the door. And in my head, I prayed for Alysha not being there. But if she is, I'd still have to control myself, for Jamie and Bennie's sake of course.

"Sammie!! Where have you been?! What did my brother do to you!?" I love this little girl! She reminds me of a little me. But I'm glad she opened the door and not Alysha, or even Bennie.

"Actually, I really have to talk to him. Is he here?"

"Jay who's that at the- " He stopped in his tracks. "Oh, it's you."

"I'll just leave you two alone. Gonna go watch that movie." She pranced of to her room and we went to his. Before I even stepped into the room I started.

"Im sorry. I shouldn't have gone all crazy like that. I don't know where it all came from. I just don't wanna see you get hurt again for what is it now the, eighth time?"

"It was only twice and the first time was my fault."

"Bennie, how is her cheating on you, your fault?"

"Before we started going out, she told me that she didn't want to be in a relationship. I pushed her into it."

"That does not justify the fact that she cheated on you. There are ways to avoid cheating. Number one most obvious solution- Leave."

"It's not that simple."

"Why because you love her? And you think she loves you? Someone who loves you doesn't hurt you over and over again and then all they have to say is sorry and all the shit they did is erased, just like that. Bennie that's not love."

"I'll worry about own my relationship, you worry about yours. Okay." I looked at him shocked that he already knew.

"Surprised? You didn't even have to tell me. I could see it. I saw you guys at the table. I'm not gonna say anything about it. Just know, when he hurts you, I'll be here. Like always. And I won't say I told you so."

"Same for you." I looked at him and smiled. He pulled me in and gave me a big ole' bear hug. We just sat like that, his chin resting on my head.

"I'm sorry for not telling you. That she was coming and that she's my girl. I knew you two had crazy beef. I definitely should've gave you a heads up."

"No more hiding things from each other deal?"

"Deal." He smirked. We did our handshake. And guess who peered through the door..

"Finally. You guys made up! I thought you would've taken forever. Now can we make cupcakes and then finish the movie?"

"Com'ere you." I grabbed her and put her on my back. "What flavor? Chocolate, Vanilla, Ohh how about both? Come on Chef Bennie. We've got some cupcakes to make."
