The next morning.

Sarah never came home, and Jessica never called once.

She felt horrible for what happened, but she had no idea what to say.

I don't know what to say! I'm not lesbian.. Sarah's my best friend, that's just weird.. Right?

"Jessie, we have to leave, will Sarah be back soon?" Jessica's mother asks.

"Yeah, she should be on her way, don't worry, I'll be fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, they're sleeping, I should be fine."

"Okay.. Well I love you baby!" She hugs her.

"I love you too!"

"Call me whenever you need me! Even if it's the simplest question, call me, okay?"

"I will.  Thank you." She smiles.

When her parents left, it was like the babies knew and wanted to make Jessica work.

"Hold on, Nate, I'm feeding your sister. You're okay, mommy's right here!"

Once she feeds her, she burps her and Nathaniel cries even more.

"Oh baby, I am so sorry! Mama needs to get better at multitasking."

She lays Addelyn down beside her and holds Nathaniel to nurse him.

"Come on, Nathan, just suck! You've been doing so good, what's wrong?"

Addelyn lets out a piercing cry and Jessica looks down to her.

"Addy, what's wrong?!

Ugh, like you can answer me!

I am so so sorry!" Jessica starts to cry as she holds Nathaniel and places her hand on Addelyn.

Sarah walks in and Jessica quickly covers herself.

"I'm not looking! Do you need help?"

"No I've got it, thanks."

"Jess, can we talk?"

"I'm kinda busy, Sarah."

"Yeah.. Alright, I get it.." Sarah walks upstairs.

Jessica felt horrible. She didn't know why she answered her that way.

Sarah has helped me more than anyone else has helped me.

She's my best friend. I don't want to ruin that.

The rest of the day Sarah stayed in her room.

After hours of crying, both the twins and Jessica, Sarah got tired of it and walked in.

"I know you don't want to see me, but I'm gonna help. Give me a baby."

Jessica handed her Addelyn, and Sarah stands at the foot of the bed, trying to calm her down.

"Shh shh.. you're okay, baby!

Yeah, everything's fine, pretty girl!" She talks to her in a soothing voice as she lightly bounces her.

Jessica watches with her red swollen eyes, while holding Nathaniel.

Addelyn slowly calms down, and Jessica was shocked.

"How did you do that?  She's been crying for three hours straight." Jessica says in a tearful voice.

"Addy and I have gotten close.. Haven't we, Addy?" Sarah smiles at the baby.

Jessica sniffles and slowly looks down to Nathaniel.

He calmed down when Addelyn stopped crying, and just looked up at Jessica.

She wiped her eyes and smiled, before she started softly rocking him.

"Thank you, Sarah."

"No problem." She says looking down at the baby.

"I'm sorry."

Sarah nods and says, "Let's not talk about it, Jess.

I shouldn't have said anything."

"No!  No, you.. you were just saying how you felt... it just.. it took me by surprise...

...Sarah I--"

"Listen, can we just drop this, please?  Let's pretend it didn't happen.  Okay?"

Jessica looks at her with her lips parted and her eyes not closing for a second.

"...Okay..." Jessica says quietly.
