It’s been a week since the “rescue operation” to bring Arianna home and we are back in my pack house in New York for the weekend – I took most of the week off to spend with Arianna.

For what it’s worth, I thought Trevor would have brought it up with Arianna when they had their heart-to-heart last week. But apparently Trevor thought I would have spoken to Arianna about it.

So I suppose in actual fact, both of us were too cowardly to mention the minor itsy-bitsy detail about her possibly relocating to the royal palace in Alaska come November.

Stupidly thinking that Trevor had broached the subject with her and stupidly assuming she’s amiable to that arrangement, I again, stupidly mentioned to her the possibility of me quitting my job to take her to see the world.

Again, did I mention I was stupid?

To say she was angry would be a gross understatement. She was beyond livid. ‘Blowing a gasket’ would seem mild compared to her actual outburst and if she could shift, I’m sure she’d have shifted and maimed me in two seconds flat and then proceeded to lick off her fingers contentedly after.

“Get Sir David on the phone” Arianna snarled at me, thrusting her phone into my palms forcefully.

Fumbling with my shaky hands, I almost dropped the phone twice before managing to unlock the phone and dialing Sir David’s personal cell number which I had committed to memory since the fateful night a week ago.

“Miss Ravensdale! Is anything wrong? Are you ok?” Sir David’s concerned voice came through the receiver.

Before I could respond, Arianna demanded, “Give it!”, so I gingerly placed the phone back onto her palm, not wanting to set her off further.

“Sir David!” Arianna hissed as she started her tirade on the poor man.

Slowly stepping back from the battle field, I quickly pick up my phone and dial Trevor’s number.

“Caleb! Anything wrong?” Trevor’s anxious voice came through on the second ring.

“Er… Well, Arianna is on a rampage…” I mutter quietly.

“What?! Why? What happened?!” Trevor’s voice piercing my ears.

Geez.. He didn’t have to shout, did he? Between these two siblings, I’m going to lose my hearing soon.

“Well… Arianna just found out our compromise with Sir David and she’s not happy.” I say, earning a glare from Arianna who’s still lashing out at Sir David across the room. It’s starting to look more like a one-sided conversation because I doubt she’s giving Sir David any chance to interject.

“Ohh…” was all Trevor could come up with and I roll my eyes.

“Here… Have a listen…” I say, stepping closer to Arianna so that he could hear for himself the degree of Arianna’s anger.

“I will not! Be subjected to your whims and fancies! Sir David! I’ve had my life ripped away from me for five years! My family has suffered! I will NOT allow this silly prophecy to dictate my life further! I demand.. DEMAND!! That I get to live my life as normal as possible! I intend to go to NYU to study. I intend to be with my mate and God forbid, I intend to get married!! So you…and your merry band of Council members can go sod off!! Do you hear me?!? DO.YOU.HEAR.ME?!!!” Arianna screeched towards the end.

I think I just went sheet white.. Remind me to never get on her bad side..Ever!

“Ohh…  Yeah.. That’s Arianna’s temper for you alright. She hardly gets so worked up but when she does, it’s like a supernova explosion. Good luck with that mate. Call me if there are any updates. Bye!” Trevor chuckles and then hangs up on me.
