Nothin' lasts forever

And we both know hearts can change

And it's hard to hold a candle

In the cold November rain

...

If we could take the time

To lay it on the line

I could rest my head

Just knowin' You were mine

All mine

So if you want to love me

Then darlin' don't refrain

Or I'll just end up walkin'

In the cold November rain.

-Guns N' Roses, November Rain

"Rise and shine, Cas!" Dean's voice rang through the silence as the first rays of eastern sunlight seeped through the window, hurting Cas's eyes as he tried to open them.

"What time is it?" he groaned, rubbing his eyes.

"Time for you to climb out the window and get to your house to catch the bus." Dean winked.

Cas smiled as he got up and put one hand on Dean's waist and the other behind his ear, leaning in and kissing him deeply. "I'll see you then." He said smoothly.

Dean nodded with a big grin spread across his reddening face. As Cas was just about to exit through the window, one leg already straddling the windowsill, Dean called, "Be careful." Cas nodded and climbed out the window, careful to not be seen as he crossed the street.

Dean sighed as he threw his bookbag over his shoulder and made his way downstairs, taking one long last look at the rumpled covers on the untidy bed where he and Cas lay together just moments ago. His boots pounded on the steps as he came down the stairs, seeing his father in the living room reading the paper. Dean swallowed hard.

"Morning, son." His dad said with a warm smile on his face.

Good, Dean thought. He hadn't found out anything about last night. "Morning, Dad."

Dean found Sam sitting at the table eating pancakes as his mother stood over the stove, making more. "There's pancakes and bacon here, Dean." Mary smiled at him.

He loved that smile. It was a smile that reminded Dean that everything was going to be okay. No matter how mad Dad would get, no matter what happened in school, his mom would always be there for him. Sam would always be sitting at the table playing with his Matchbox cars or action figures, although now he was getting too old for them. As long as Dean had his mom to remind him that everything was going to be okay, to not make it bad, he knew he could get through pretty much anything. Which made him feel sick and horrible to go behind their backs with Cas.

"Thanks, Mom!" Dean grinned as he took a couple pancakes and some bacon on his plate. He sat at the table, not bothering with the syrup, to scarf it down so he wouldn't miss the bus. He chugged the glass of orange juice in front of him. "That was awesome!" He said to himself.

He grabbed his stuff again, ruffled Sammy's hair and kissed his mom on the cheek before running out to the bus. He was greeted by the two beautiful blue eyes of Castiel who smiled at him as he claimed his seat. Cas was wearing the same clothes as last night, not having a chance to change, and his hair was messier today, more tangled and rougher looking from bed. He smiled, "Hello, Dean."
