Matty's POV:
The feeling of waking up with someone in your arms was such a peaceful feeling, having that someone be Ava was something that made it feel even better. I don't know what it is about her, she seemed so interesting from the night we had a cigarette together. She looked so beat up and worn out when I first laid eyes on her but there was such a beauty in all that. She still by far was the most stunning girl I've had the chance to see. Things were moving rather fast with her though and I couldn't tell if it was good for either of us. Life is about taking a jump and I guess this was me doing so. It all just felt so right in the moment and that's all I'm trying to live for. I was really trying to change and redirect my life and maybe she was put in my path to help that, it was all worth a shot to see if I was right.
She was still softly snoring with her head on my shoulder and an arm slung across my chest. I softly smiled as I pushed a piece of her long blonde hair out of her face. I didn't want to wake her so instead I just silently hoped she would wake soon. I started to get hot so I tried to ever so carefully move the cover off me without bugging her. Sadly I wasn't so successful. She began to stir some until her long lashes fluttered open to reveal those ocean eyes I loved to see. Wiping her eyes some, she let out a groan before she sprawled out on the bed. I guess she isn't much of a morning type of gal.
"Morning sleepy head," I spoke up as I could finally stretch my arms out. She looked my way, a little groggily until a smiled rolled onto her lips,
"Look who's still here," She joked before she cleared her throat some.
"Of course, no place else I'd want to be," I said then went to go press a playful kiss on her cheek.
"I've got a booming headache, how much did we drink last night?" She laughed and put a hand against her forehead. I wondered if she remembered most of what happen because it definitely all stuck with me. Maybe it would be in my favor if she forgot what I had said.
"Well you insisted on more shots after each round, I lost count. You're quite the part animal, who would have known!" I said sarcastically
"Oh whatever, you know it was a good time" She rebuttaled and pushed my shoulder playful
"Definitely was that. I'm glad we got the chance to get out, that really was fun." I said as I watched her rise from the bed revealing her thin but shapely body in only a baggy shirt. I took note at the fact she had even more bruises on her pale legs and even some red fresh looking scars on her thighs. For once I didn't open my big mouth about it,
"Yeah thank you for that by the way, it really meant a lot." She smiled at me as she threw my shirt and pants at me which was assumable my que to get dressed. By the time I had pulled on my clothes, she had already put on a hoodie with some leggings and was now just brushing her hair,
"I'll have to make sure to make it up to the boys some how for doing that great solid for me. I feel so bad for putting so much on them right after we met," She ranted and set the brush down, turning back towards me,
"No they said it was no problem, you don't owe anything," I tried to reason with her. George even blew up my phone with pictures of him and Cade last night, he wasn't kidding when he said that he really loved being around kids.
"Could we go ahead and head over, I miss my little Cade." She said already at the door. It was so amazing how she was with him, so mature and caring. I was glad I got to see that side of her, it made her seem so down to earth and not like these other hot headed girls I've always managed to be with.
