Ava's POV:
I was lying awake still, unable to sleep at about 3am when I heard the front door open. Finally, the boys have been out forever to the point I was starting to get worried. They left so long ago but I'm sure they just got caught up into the goodtime. I heard the sound of stumbling footsteps along with some inaudible noises coming from the living room. I was just going to wait in bed for Matty to finally crawl into bed next to me so I could try to catch some sleep but that was until I heard a loud bang of someone falling followed by what sounded like Matty's drunken yells.
I quickly shuffled out of bed and tried to get to the living room as fast as I could. Once I got there, the scene looked an absolute mess. Matty was laying on the floor with his shirt missing and in a pile of books he knocked off the table by the front door. George had his hands out trying to help Matty to his feet but Matty kept fighting his way from his grips while yelling for George to get away. I almost stood there shocked to see him looking so far out of it but instead shook myself from it and ran to his side. I knelt down beside him and quickly tried to grab his hands so they would stop swinging around trying to hit things.
"Matty baby, please get up. Let's get you in bed, yeah?" I tried to whisper soothingly as he stared straight in my eyes, still looking so panicked, distraught, and almost mad. I noticed now that I was close that he was somewhat sobbing. He had tears pouring down his face as he hiccupped for breath. I felt so sad looking at him in such a mess and I just wanted to do anything I could to help. I don't know how his night ended up like this but I did know I wanted him to snap out of this and get back to the happy Matty that could light up any room.
He was still just staring at me with his lip quivering as more tears silently flowed but now he was sat up some as I was still holding his hands. I tried to see if I started to stand up and pull him up then he would be able to get to his feet but he was just like dead weight.
"Love could you stand up for me please?" I almost begged as I was now fully standing and using all my strength to pull him up. He only groaned as he tried to fidget out of my grip to lay back down. I heard George clear his throat as he stepped forward and grabbed one of Matty's hands from mine. He did a small countdown to three and then we managed to pull him up right. He started to stumble like he was about to fall again but I quickly pulled him to an embrace to stop him. I tried to shift from the embrace to where he only had one arm around my shoulder so we could try to walk to the room but it wasn't working. George quickly noticed and got Matty's other arm around his shoulder and began to take small steps towards the room.
"Baby where's your shirt? Do you know?" I spoke up as I looked at his bare chest and wondered if he lost his shirt here or at the party. I didn't get an answer but instead he sniffled as he tried to reach to wipe his tears but couldn't. I began to look closer at these few red spots on his chest and quickly picked up on the fact they were lip stick marks. They started from the top of his neck and just trailed down to around his collar bones. I wasn't even like it could be mistaken, some were even in the perfect lip shape. I felt my heart drop as I started to imagine the worst. What was he up to at that party? Who was he with? The idea of him having another girl all over me almost made tears of my own come to my eyes.
"Matty. Why do you have lip stick all over you?" I almost stuttered as I tried to gulp down my nervousness. I just wanted to hear some sort of explanation to put my worries to rest. But yet again, no answer. Instead, he loud sob wracked his body as he almost collapsed out of our arms. A wave of worry coursed through me but for different reasons then before. Now I was more worried about what happened to Matty,
