Ava's POV:
The next days passed on just the same as the last, just the boys and I all hanging out, laying around in the room chatting and having a good time. All of us really did get along well. When Matty broke it to George that Cade and I were going to be his new roommates, he didn't even seem in the slightest bit upset. In fact he seemed excited which made me glad to feel so welcomed. He said the same thing as Matty about how Kelsey, George's girlfriend, would get along with me well. And today was our day to get to see if they were right. It was moving day.
Our time in that little crap hotel was up and it was time for everyone to go back home. We all already said our 'see you laters' to Adam and Ross and were now piled in the car on the way to the Manchester flat that George kept bragging about how nice it was. The radio blasted some song from the Neighbourhood and all of us were singing along. George was up in the passenger seat and I was in the back with Caden who was staring out the window counting on his fingers how many stop signs he saw. I couldn't help but grin as I looked around the car at the people I was going to be living with. I loved being around them and now I don't have to stress about what the next move is with Cade and I or how I was going to manage to get food on the table every night for him or make sure he had a nice place to tuck in every night. It all was just piecing together so perfectly.
"Would you look at that! Here already!" Matty boasted and put the car in park, unbuckling his seatbelt.
"Well when you drive nearly 100 miles per hour like a maniac you seem to get places faster," George snidely remarked making us laugh.
Matty quickly rushed to open my door and help me grab one of my bags while I grabbed Caden's hand in mine. We walked over to the big dark wooden door and waited for Matty to find his key. George pulled out a cigarette and mentioned that he would be out here for a minute as the door finally opened. The flat looked, cozy to put it nicely. It was rather crammed looking but had a very homey feel to it that I loved.
"It feels so good to be back," Matty sighed as he lead us to the guest room. It was a decent size, with a twin bed in the middle and a dresser with a tv on it,
"I'm sorry it's small," He said as he set the bag down next to the bed, as did I. "No need to apologize, this is more than enough, thank you love." I said as I pulled him into a hug. He smiled and kissed my forehead,
"I'll let you two get settled, I'm going to catch a quick smoke with George and then come back." He let me know as he turned for the door.
I started to fold the clothes that was once thrown into a duffle bag into the dresser while Caden made himself at home on the bed with his coloring book, as per usual. It didn't take very long for me to get all of things settled since we really didn't come with much. So once I had that done, I squeezed myself onto the bed next to Cade and casually checked my phone. I was just scrolling on twitter when I got the notification of a text. I raised my eyebrows some to check it to find it was from my aunt Darla. She was on my mother's side, our only other family we had left, and didn't like me one bit. She likes to blame me for all of what happened, from just my mother's unhappiness to her sickness. She could hardly be in the same room as me, but she sure did love Caden. She actually treated him so well when she decided to be around. She was able to give him everything but Cade said he would still prefer being with me. The text simple read,
'Mark updated me on what happened. Where are you? Is Caden ok?'
I sighed as I just ignored it, she had nothing to do with this situation and it needed to stay that way. Hopefully that would be the last I heard of her. I tossed my phone to the side and closed my eyes until I heard the room door open again. I looked up to see the familiar curly hair,
