The sound of birds chirping filled my ears, as harsh sunlight filled my vision, causing me to open my eyes. Matt was peacefully asleep at my side and I smiled slightly, before looking at the slightly open window where the sunlight had perfect aim at my face. Sighing, I stood fixing the night clothes that was a bit too small for me, before walking over and opening the blinds completely. I heard Matt hiss from the bed and chuckled quietly, before admiring the scenery outside the window.
The Silver Lake pack lands were beautiful, with lush grass that seemed to be perfectly sculpted and the array of exotic flowers growing in the small garden in their backyard. Two muscular arms wrapped around my waist and I melted into Matt's arms, as he pecked my cheek. "Morning, mate." He whispered, as I turned slightly to look at him.
"Good morning," I smiled.
"We need to get ready and meet the alpha's pack, he told me to tell you once you were fully rested."
I dropped my shoulders and slinked out of his grasp, walking over to the closet that was fully stocked with old pack member clothes that could possibly fit Matt and I. I pulled out a cute long sleeve lace crop top, pleated black mini skirt, and knee length heeled black boots. (A/N Created this look on Polyvore)

I placed the clothes down on the bed, before heading toward the bathroom to prepare for the long morning. The bathroom was huge, around have the size of the bedroom, with a golden sink with a golden Jacuzzi that I would definitely be using later tonight. The shower was made of all glass and the toilet seemed to be self-automated.

The warm water of the shower washed all the remaining pieces of forest off of me and soothed my muscles. Stepping out, I felt brand new and just prayed that Matt and I would have enough time to get our affairs in order before Adam did another foolish, yet deadly, attack. I grabbed a towel from above the toilet and swiftly wrapped it around myself, before making my way across the bathroom.
I pushed the bathroom door opened and let out a sigh of relief at the fresh pack of underwear. It wasn't my typical style, but I guess I'd take it where I could get it. Unfortunately for me I didn't have a bra, but I'd just have to make do for just a few moments, before coming back here and relaxing until dinner time. I dropped my towel onto the bed and opened the pack of underwear pulling out the black pair and pulling them on, before sliding on my skirt and pulling my shirt on.
"I wonder where Matt could have gone...?" I mumbled to myself, sitting on the edge of the bed and pulling on my shoes, before rushing out to find my mate.
The house was pretty big from what I'd seen last night when the Alpha took Matt and I to get a midnight meal and their kitchen was probably the size of my bedroom or bigger. My home in comparison could be a play thing for the pack children. Shaking my head, I followed the familiar path into the kitchen, where Matt sat eating his breakfast in black jeans and a white t-shirt.
I went over to his side, pecking his cheek. He turned to face me, his smile not really reaching his eyes as the Alpha entered the room. I bowed respectfully along with everyone in the room and took Matt's hand in mine, trying to see what was wrong.
"Ms. Knight, you and your mate are to follow me to get ready for the welcoming ceremony." Alpha Silver Lake spoke, his voice enveloping the room.
I looked up at him, nodding, before looking back to Matt worriedly. Something about Alpha Silver Lake seemed to throw him off and I didn't like it. Closing my eyes in exasperation, I knew
I had to bring up to him eventually, because if he wasn't comfortable here then we'd leave.
"Ms. Knight?" I looked up at the Alpha and nodded, tightening my hand around Matt's, and following Alpha Silver Lake outside to the large backyard that was being transformed into a ceremony space.
