The War

It's too cold for you here, my love.
Try to keep warm for me, my dove.
Cut me out of my skin,
something to keep warm in.
Wear it like a coat,
to keep you afloat.

before I depart,
I can't stay here,

Our hearts beat in sync,
we're chained like a link.
Departure takes your breath?

Tonight, I'll take a train out,
I'm about to fight my bout.
Grab my sword, grab my gun,
off to war, I'm on the run.
