"You are an idiot." Vincent shook his head as we rode on.
"Haven't we had the conversation already...like I don't know twice in the last three miles." I sighed, Vincent refused to let the topic go. We are traveling to the high king's castle so Vincent can be recognised by the high king as king of our province.
"Viv, you and I both know that you much rather be in the action not stuck up in a castle all day." Vincent argued.
"Yes yet I could not miss your offical coranation with the high king...." I stated attempting to end the conversation.
"Sure...you have never enjoyed a single meeting. Plus you know that you miss being 'robin hood'." he reminded me.
Vincent was right yet I did not completely hate meetings I just preferred to be outdoors actually helping our people rather than pretending to listen from a throne. I enjoy being princess, yet I hated how the High King is treating our people.

Our ride continues in silence,  Vincent surveys the trail ahead as we near the city surrounding the High King's palace.
"Just if you plan on leaving...at least say goodbye." He muttered breaking our silence.
"Like I would run off without your knowledge." I replied.
"Well...that's what you did the first time you went to play robin hood." he stated flatly.
"I came back!" I shouted in deffense, "It is not like you did not know  where I went."
Vincent only rolled his eyes ignoring my  last statement. We rode up to the High King's palace. The guards glared at the both of us, most likley since our provience is one of the most unstable. On the edge of revolt. Along with the fact that we could kill any of them as easily as snapping one's fingers.

We walk up the steps to the High Queen who is waiting to receive us.
"Please excuse my husband,he is dealing with some criminal trials. So your coronation celebration will have to wait until later this eve." she stated while shaking Vincent's hand.
"That is quite alright Queen Angela." Vincent replied.
We were lead from the stairs to our rooms by one of the guards who continuously eyed my sword.
"If the criminal the king is dealing with is Raziel....I will probably kill him myself." Vincent laughed.
"We both know how carefull he is. He would never be caught." I replied laughing, " But  I would not stop you if he was that stupid."

"Come on" I sighed as Vincent slowly followed me to the hallway.
"Where are we going I would really perfer a nap" he yawned in response.
"Either to get a snack or burn down the library, we can decide on the way." I replied, earning myself a questioning glance. Yet it got Vincent to follow, knowing we would end up at the kitchens anyway.

After a few sets of stairs and some twists and turns, we have not found the kitchens or the library. We eventually run into a pair of guards who are admiring a pair of daggers.
"Viv," Vincent whispered, "Those are elevn training daggers."
"So..." I questioned.
"They belong to Isadora." he replied.
I gave him a confused look as he approached the guards.
"Where did you get those?" Vincent questioned sternly.
"We didn't steal them." the one blurted.
"We didn't ask if you stole them. We simply asked where you got them." I stepped in.
"We found them." the other nodded.
"Where?" Vincent asked sarcastically.
I watched their faces as their eyes flicked drom Vincent's irritated face to the stair well just down the hall and back.
"Downstairs?" Vincent questioned after noticing.
"No" the one lied.
"May I have them?" I ask.
"No" they answer simultaneously.
"Hand them to me. I know who they rightfully belong to." Vincent nearly yelled.
"They belong to us" one replied pulling the daggers to his chest.
"No they don't. I would know" Vincent said angerliy
"Give them now. We will get them one way or another" I said.
The two guards grudgingly handed the daggers to Vincent. Then the pair went back to their patrol.
"The prisioner" Vincent started.
"Definitely is Raziel." I finished after the  guards turned the corner.

"What was he thinking?" Vincent questioned after we got back to our rooms.
"He knew that we were coming here, and most likely though that I would come and go on some pointless journey with them to the forrbidden." I replied pacing.
"What's your plan to help them?" he prodded.
"Do I have to?" I groaned as I sat down picking at my dress skirt.
"No. You could prove Raziel wrong by not helping." he suggested.
"That sounds like a good choice but is it fair to Will, Skylar, or Isadora?" I reply.
"Well its really your choice. Just say goodbye before you leave. I have to go to a meeting with the king's advisers." he said as he walked out the door.
Raziel was the idiot who was captured all in an attempt to get me to come on this ridiculous journey. I shouldn't help, let him deal with the consequences. Yet he is my friend, and needs my help. On the otherhand I'll be leaving my normal life behind to become an enemy of the crown again. After today I am no longer a princess for my provience so I will really not have to govern over a provience. But still, Vincent might need my help. I mean he did just becime king. Then there is Skylar, Will and Isadora. They dont deserve to be locked up because Raziel. Well maybe Isadora could stay. Though she is princess and with the rising tension it wont be long till her father notices her absence. Skylar definitely doesn't deserve the fate of being in the dungeons. She was dragged into the whole mess anyway. I eye the daggers. I picked them up in my hands. They were beautifully crafted but clearly well worn. In the handle you could see how the elf held her knives like a real professional. Isadora would be a worthy oppenant and a half. Having her locked up for a war would be a benefit....if she was against us...she will be a great leader. I glanced out the window. With a sigh I put the daggers with our packs and flopped back on the bed.
