Will
"Tell me elder Ferdinand, why?" I asked the leader of the elders before me.
"No one knows. We trained you, yes we did, we were sure you remembered as you left," Ferdinand said.
I moved from staring out the window to stand by the table where the elders sat. They did train me because I was chosen when I was born. I had the sacred birthmark of a star on my shoulder, just like legend. I was trained in secret for the day I would reach the age to leave.
"Why don't you tell us of your journey?" Asked elder Janet.
"When I left it was like magic. I knew I had to continue on beyond the arch but I didn't know why. Once I got away from it I didn't even know where it was. I had no memories of life here, nothing. It was strange," I said not making eye contact with any of them. They'd trained me well but beyond the boarder that knowledge offered no help.
"When you returned?" Elder Lucinda asked nudging me to continue.
"It all came back. Slow at first, simple memories. But by the time I reached my home it all came flooding back.
"This is why your companions thought you were acting strange," Elder Lucinda said.
"They told you?" I asked surprised.
"Those elves make noisy neighbors," Ferdinand said chuckling at his own joke.
"Why did you send them so soon? I would think becoming king would make you want to surround yourselves with queens who were properly prepared. We prepared you for life, not being a king," Lucinda said.
"None of them were queens, yet. And it's easier this way. I don't want to try to figure all this out and worry about explaining to everyone else," I said determined to stick by my decision.
"It is unwise to keep people in the dark. Even though it's hard to explain. You especially shouldn't keep some of the most powerful people in the world in the dark," Ferdinand said.
"It's not forever, they need to help their kingdoms. It will all work out," I said. Then I turned to leave.
"The war will fester in the dark, if we won't act soon someone else will," Lucinda said. I growled at her and left the room. Ignoring their calls.

"Rashiel you should leave. With the war this city is crawling with patrols." Jac said to the lamp on the other side of the room.
"What will you do?" I asked looking through the cabinets.
"For the sake of the sky, I'm a wizard I'll be fine." he said throwing a spoon at the lamp.
Jac was right I could barely leave the house there was constant patrol in this part of the city. Viv's offer rang in my ears. The last time I spoke to her was just before she crossed the border heading home.
"You're right Jac. I should leave, you'll be okay right?" I asked jumping to pack a bag.
"I lived this long haven't I? I should be fine, it's not like I'm a toddler." he said with a chuckle.
I laughed as I continued to pack my bag.

It's only been three weeks since we left Will in the Forbidden and went our separate ways, but the war has gotten worse with more widespread fighting along the East and West boarder. The high kings have been trying to get a handle on their people, but each province is revolting against their kings and the other side. The suspicious thing is the elves from the east have done nothing, the whole nation is fighting but nothing has been heard from them. The whole nation is on edge because they know only the unexpected is expected from elves. I haven't heard anything from my other companions, and something seems to be missing. The ride to the Fallen Provience is only about two days even with this many patrols. I saddled my horse and went galloping out of the High City heading towards the Fallen Provience right to Viv.

"Sir the border with the East should not be our main concern." one of Vincent's advisors added.
Vincent and I have been in this meeting for hours now. Sadly neither of us can leave since Vincent is King now and I'm general. All because of tradition, every generation of Fallen rulers are twins the eldest becomes king or queen while the other is top advisor and general, or vice versa if the public decides to vote for the younger twin.
"Viv, what do you think?" Vincent asked across the table.
"It's not a good idea. We should spread troops along all of our boarders not just the East and North." I moved the troop figures to each boarder on the map to illustrate.
All of the advisors silently agreed with me, they all hated when I was right.
"Well if its settled then thats what we will do. You are all dismissed." Vicent said motioning to the door. All of the advisors filed out mumbling about how I was always right.
"Is something wrong Viv?" He asked once they were all gone.
"Just the stress of this war." I sighed.
"Well...alright then." he said standing to walk out. I could tell he was reading my mind as he left. Vincent was the only one who could read my mind and I was the only one who could read his.
