*Isadora*
"Hurry up guys," Will said to us through his teeth. As we passed the outskirts of the village he eyed near by villagers.
"Now what gives you the right to say that?" I said eyeing him and raising an eyebrow.
"What do you mean?" Will asked angrily while smiling to keep up a perfect image.
"Well sir ever since we got here you have been acting all high and mighty! And refuse to talk to us. You basically are acting like my father," I said giving some of my sass. Will was only slightly ahead of me now and from the corner of my eye I could see my group cheering on my bluntness.
"Wha..." Will stammered mouth hanging open. He still reeked of sage and it was starting to hurt my nose.
"Don't play dumb. You're trying to make yourself look like the hero and us like sidekicks. We all know that you did none of the heavy lifting of this group. In fact I think you did none of the lifting," I said sarcastically and starting to get irritated. Will got angry at me for my logic.
"Go Iz!" Sky called from the back of the group.
"She has a point Will, we may have returned to your home, and I understand it's stressful but it gives you no right to be this way," Good Cop said. When she said it he took Dragon-weed from his pocket and tried to eat it.
"What is wrong with you?!" I screamed at him hitting the weed from his hand.
Spirit made eye contact and silently thanked me.
"I could ask the same for you," Will said sarcastically.
"No not really. I'm defending an......acquaintance. You on the other hand are being a complete prick. Lose the attitude now or we are going to have bigger issues. What suddenly gives you the right to be this way? Were you playing us to look innocent so we'd help you?," I asked accusingly. Clenching my jaw.
"I'm the prick?!Your the one being an ass here! You are the one accusing me!" Will yelled back.
"You did not just that to Isadora." I heard Sky say with a small chuckle.
I smiled sweetly at him and an expression of fear passed over him.
"I'm done with pleasantries," I said launching from my horse tackling him to the ground. We rolled and I pinned him to the ground. I then slapped him across the face.
"That's for calling me an ass," I said. Then I slapped him again, "That's for trying to eat dragon-weed," my fist then connected with his jaw hard enough I could tell his vision went cloudy, " and that's for being the prick." I stood and dusted off my pants and climbed back onto Prank. Will stood and looked to the members of our group for help as he rubbed a bruise forming on his cheek.
"She is right Will," Raziel said with no sympathy.
A look of understanding crossed his face. He bent his head and defeat.
"I have been a real jerk haven't I?" Will said as he mounted his pony once again.
"That's the understatement of the week," Sky said. I smiled in victory.
"Glad someone could knock the sense into you," Raziel said. Our group had ridden mostly in silence for a few miles. The only sounds were the conversation I was having with Sky.
"That was great!" Sky said laughing. Then Valiant rode up next to me.
"May I interrupt?" She questioned. Sky nodded and rode to talk to Raziel.
"I just wanted to say thanks," Emotion-Ball said.
"No problem. Someone had to do it," I replied.
"Not that I want to give you another reason to think I'm stupid, but that was Dragon-weed he was trying to eat right?" She asked.
"Yeah. People eat it to ward off bad spirits, bad luck, bad karma, bad people........" I trailed off.
"I didn't know you could eat it, Fallen use the flowers to celebrate the dead," she replied.
"I like the flowers, they look like a dragon breathing fire! You eat the leaves. They taste horrible though. They have a slimy texture but leave you mouth really dry. They also taste like earwax," I curled my lip in disgust.
"I don't think I want to know how you know," Plantatologist said shuddering at the thought of eating something like that.
"Part of training for elves, to be able to eat something bad like that and not throw up," I said remembering having to eat it everyday for a week because I had to learn to stomach it somehow. With a nod I left WeakFairy behind to talk to Sky.We rode into a small village at the base of a mountain. Looking up I could se piles of stone.
"Who are ye?" An elder asked me as I was leading the group.
"Well I'm Isadora," I did proudly dismounting.
"Ye are an Elf!" She said surprised, eyes widening.
I nodded in response. And old man next to her whispered in her ear.
"Ye be a Queen!" She said surprised, and stumbling into a curtsy.
"Thats okay, no need for that. I'm only a princess, and not even here," I assured her looking to Sky for help with this lady who looked to be hurting herself.
"We were wondering if you knew anything about the ruins?" I questioned after Sky elbowed me in the ribs gently.
"Not a soul has been up their since the kingdom split. When it spilt that became ruins. It's sacred ground and only after it's repaired will we go up there," she said. Our party nodded and mounted back up. She grabbed my arm before I could get on Prank.
"You are going to be a valuable player in this war, the top general I suspect. Good luck, Queen Isadora," She said before curtsying again. I mounted up and brought Prank into a trot to catch up with the others. We rode into what looked like used to be the front doors to a throne room. There was a raised platform, with one smaller platform in the center, where Kings must have sat.
"What is this place?" Raziel asked no one in particular.
"It's the throne room duh. Look I think this might be the prophecy," I said pointing to where there was writing engraved on the partial wall behind the thrones.
"I can't read this!" Raziel, Viviana, and Will said in sync.
"Well of course not. It's in elven. It looks like it was in all of the languages though," Sky said picking up a chunk of stone. All it said was 'aided' in common. The three looked to us with an unasked question in their eyes.
"Yes, I will do the honor. Thank you so very much!" I said sarcastically taking a bow and curtsy. They responded with an eye roll but Raziel bowed and gestured to the stone.
"Let's see. This is going to be a rough translation," I started using hand gestures and putting my hands on my hips.
"It goes something like this:
The true heir is unknown
When he returns
He will be shown
To take the throne
It will seem absurd
But He will be aided by
The rebel who will let it burn
The wanted who's really a good guy
The mistake who waits for her turn
And the giver who will defy" I translated.
"Wow," Raziel said.
"Did you think I couldn't read?" I asked offended.
"No. It described all of us perfectly," he replied.
"I mean it is also a surprise you can read," Teacher said. I glared at her in response.
"So how do we fill the prophecy. Something has to be revealed," Sky said. I moved to the center of the room and took in the room. There were columns lining the hall and behind the thrones used to be seven large windows. I now realized there were actually seven thrones, two were smaller and looked like they used to be Fae or Dwarf sized.
"We stand on our respective carvings and something should be revealed," Will said returning to his old self.
"I think we each choose a throne," Raziel said.
"How about we each stand on our respective carvings," I offered.
"Yes, your simple idea worked last time it might work again..." NarrowMind said. I smirked at Will who rolled his eyes. I winked in response.
We all looked for our carvings. I found one with a wand, wings, crown, hands, and finally mine. It was flames. I stepped up onto the throne to the left of the main one where my carving sat. Sky stood on hers, a pair of giving hands to my right. Raziel and Duchess Annoying took the two thrones on the right of the main one. Finally Will sat down.
"It won't work until you sit!" Raziel said leaning forward to glare at where I was standing on the throne.
"Maybe it won't work until you shut your mouth, Razzle Dazzle," I said defiantly sitting on top of the back of the chair.
"Or until you stop bickering," Will said.
I glared at Raziel and he became silent. I basked in triumph until my throne started to glow.
"What?" We all asked in our own way.
I stood and turned around. The stained glass was repairing itself! Around us we watched thousands of years of wear be erased. The prophecy was replaced and now in all the languages once again. Each throne was restored. A high doomed ceiling formed above us, the yellowed pillars turned white as snow. The cracked floor turned into a deep blue mosaic pattern. We stared in awe as the ruins became......well not-so-ruined. I turned to look at my throne. It was still tinted red and had elven weapons carved into it. Sky's matched but had elven symbols and characters. The last one on her right was brown and had gems carved in it, definitely for a Dwarf. Will's to my left was raised slightly higher and looked like a normal boring thrown. Raziels was gold and silver, and it had wizard crests all over. Crazy Hair's was black with the pearls on it. The one directly to her right was green and had various plants carved so they wrapped around it, clearly meant for Fae.
"This is just getting fun!" I said with a smile. My companions looked to me with concern. I put my hands on my hips and raised my chin.
"Let's give the east and west a run for their money!" I smiled. This was going to be fun.
