"I'm going to pet it," Iz said from my left.
"No! You will not," I scolded her.
"Maybe it's nice," she said.
"Most likely it's not," Raziel said.
"So if I can't touch it we have to kill it. What's the plan?" Iz asked. As soon as she asked the dragon seemed to finally see us. It stood on its massive legs, and swept its huge tail towards us. The others ducked while Iz and I jumped and landed on top of the tail.
"I'm riding a dragon!" Iz yelled in glee.
"Not for long," I grumbled gripping some scales as the dragon tried to whip us off his tail. When it made another swipe towards our group we rolled off.
"That was fun!" Iz yelled.
"It was stupid" Viviana said.
"Better plan than just standing here," Iz countered back.
After another swipe of its tail Iz started firing arrows at it, and I joined her. At this the dragon got angry and quickly closed the distance between us.
"Now we're in for it," Viviana grumbled unsheathing her sword. We all spread out to fight. The dragon breathed fire at Raziel but he quickly countered with a spell that made water.
"It breathes fire!" Iz shouted clapping her hands. The dragon responded by throwing a fireball her way. She dodged it and sent more arrows it's way. Then the tail came our way again. Iz grabbed it and I followed her example. Quickly we climbed from its tail to its body. Iz took out a dagger and went to slit its throat. With a shake of its heads it threw her aside and soon I followed.
"Will do something!" I heard Viviana scream from the other side
"Help!" Will yelled back shortly afterwards. In response sparks that must have belonged to Raziel met the dragon. Iz laughed at Will drawing attention to herself. In response the dragon threw more fire at her but she didn't seem to mind.
"Come on Iz. I know you can do better than that!" I called jumping and climbing up unto the dragons back. From here I could see Raziel was burnt, and Will was stuck under a tree the dragon knocked down. Viviana was trying to help Will as Raziel covered her.
"Weaklings," I heard Iz say from my right. I looked over and smiled.
"Let's show them how it's done," I said laughing. Just then the dragon swept Raziel and Viviana away from Will with a swipe of its tail.
"WELL DONE DRRAAAGGGOOONNN!" Iz shouted earning glares from our companions.
"Too bad it wasn't nice," I smiled as Iz and I made our way to its heads.
"Would have been even more fun. At least fire was involved," she said smiling. Fire and fights always made her happy.
"Let's end their suffering," I said with a glance at our companions.
"You were a good dragon. Goodnight," Iz whispered to the dragon. Then we took our daggers and slit each heads' throat. The dragon fell after a few seconds of wobbling. I smiled sadly as Iz shut it's eyes. Even though she seems like she had no heart I knew she did. It's just she was brought up to think showing emotions was weak and bad.
"That was....." Raziel trailed off staring at her in disbelief.
"Really nice," Viviana finished sharing a similar expression.
"Whatever," Iz said dismissing it, "Will is still stuck."
"Oh yeah. Let's fix that," Raziel said as we all walked over to him. We rolled the tree off of Will.
"Did we win?" He questioned.
"No. We are the dragon in disguise," Iz said sarcastically.
"We won," he concluded. I followed the group over to the horses to mount up.

"So what are we looking for anyway?" I asked after riding three miles.
"More dragons!" Iz said from next to me. She was currently underneath her horse.
"Not dragons. Other than that. People," Raziel said.
"Boring," Iz said sliding to sit backwards in her saddle.
"Iz, sometimes you make me wonder," I said smiling at her.
"How I'm so awesome?" Iz finished raising an eyebrow with a smirk.
"No. How I'm still friends with you," I said.
"Thanks Sky," Iz replied smiling.
"For what?" I questioned a look of confusion spreading across my face.
"Everything," was all she said. I smiled to myself.
"Thank you too, for everything," I said. If only I could get her too see how much she really meant too me. At least now she can admit she actually has a heart. When we were younger she wouldn't tell me anything. As we've grown up together she's opened up more too me. She was just raised to forget emotions.
"Sure. I got to put up with you so you'll put up with me," she said. I laughed in response.
"That's no the only reason I've stuck with you," I said smiling.
"Sure. I mean it's also your duty," Iz said as she scowled at the thought of the palace life.
"Cheer up Iz. We are away from that place now," I said gently nudging her.
"But closer to going back," her happy mood quickly disappeared.
"Don't think like that. Just focus on the now," I said nudging her again.
"Yeah but the now is catching up to my 'perfect future'," Iz said.
"Focus on the now!" I shouted launching from my horse and tackling her to the ground. She gasped in surprise and we rolled through the grass. Our horses gave us a questioning look as the rest of our party stared.
We rolled around some more and I ended up on top.
"Looks like you are learning from me," Iz said from underneath me where I had her pinned.
"I've might have picked up a trick or two," I said. Then I grunted as Iz flipped and rolled so she was on top.
"See you haven't learned to keep your guard up," she said smirking. I rolled and pinned her underneath me again.
"Maybe I have," I said.
"Good job Sky," she said being genuinely meaning it. I let go of her hands to drop down and hug her.
"I love you Iz," I whispered in her ear.
After a minute she awkwardly wrapped her arms around me.
"You may be confusing, but it makes me happy," she whispered back.
I smiled. It may not have been much but in my heart I knew she might be noticing more.
"Let's get this show on the road," Raziel said looking down on us. I got up and with a groan helped Iz up. We climbed on our horses.
"We were waiting for you," I said smiling. Raziel shook his head.
"Thanks Sky. You always know how to cheer me up," Iz said in my ear. I smiled. After riding farther Iz climbed to join me on my horse sitting crossed legged in front of me. She leaned against me and began to dose off. I smiled to myself as I gently stroked her hand. I knew this was Iz's way of showing me she truly cared and maybe even loved me back.
"I ship it," I swear I heard Viviana whisper to Will. He smiled in response nodding along.
