"He's acting strange." Raziel said as soon as we were outside.
"You know I didn't even notice..." I said sarcastically, "Before you ask. No there is nothing stating why in his conscience."
"It's probably just nerves..." he trailed off "Did you have a plan to find Princess?"
"Follow the path of destruction and fire or the path of crying children. Or we could just conveniently forget her..."
"There's no forgeting...I already tried that. She will probably be bartering for a deal on 'ediable' food"
He wasn't wrong Princess probably worked up an appetite after scaring the children of the village. Nothing was quite adding up with Will not only his behavior changed but his whole mindset did as well. His conscience was usally open and easy to read but now parts were protected, almost like he knows how to preform a complex mind shield.
"Everyone's staring..." I nodded for Raziel to look up and notice. We specifically left the horses hoping not to attract more attention.
"Your not supposed to exist. I look like a human right?" he answered proudly.
"No you're too freakishly tall" I laughed.
"I just think that you're too short to see I'm average." He smiled defiantly.
I shook my head, its almost like old times when we were hidding from the law and tried to act normal. It never really worked.

"You can't kick me out! I'm leaving!" the very familiar voice of Princess rang against the quite of the streets.
"There are plenty of taverns lets just go somewhere else." Skylar tried to reason as we turned the corner.
"Well there goes our quiet..." Raziel mumbled.
"No! It's the principal I want to eat here!" Princess protested.
"You sound like a toddler, who needs a nap." I scolded.
"I'm an Elf who needs her dinner before we ride off in to the sunset Nannypants!" she yelled back.
"Do I even want to ask what put you two in this situation?" Raziel asked rolling his eyes.
"I simply walked in and asked for the best thing on the menu and the Tavernkeeper had the audacity to say that he 'didn't serve magical beings'. I'm an elf! There's nothing magical about that!So I may or may have threatened him..." she said crossing her arms.
"Audacity is a big word for you. But elves are believed to be magical. You have supernatural senses, great reflexes, some say you can see into the future......", I trailed off.
"Shut it Wingsie," she snapped.
"Iz also forgot to mention the part where she pulled her daggers and scared the shite out of the pour guy," Skylar said giving the mom look.
"Well the legends are right about the elves being great and powerful warriors," Raziel said eyeing the two. Skylar blushed slightly while Princess grinned.
"Let's just get you two some food before you get anymore praise or complements." I eyed Raziel.
We turned an walked towards the center of the village looking for another tavern.

"How about this one..." Skylar pointed at the third tavern we passed.
"Let's try it!" Princess jumped in glee.
We walked in and were instantly met with the great smell of roast and stew. We found an empty table towards the back of the tavern attempting not to draw anymore attention.
"What will it be?" the Tavernkeeper spat.
"The best on the menu." Princess narrowed her eyes.
With a huff the Tavernkeeper went back to the bar and brought back four plates filled with beef stew, with mixed vegetables and rolls.
"Food!" Princess and Skylar sang.
Both of them began to stuff their faces while Raziel and I picked at our plates still feeling stuffed, from our dinner with Will.
"Don't tell me you two already ate." Princess said with her mouth full, "There's no way that any Tavern that rufused me would let you two in!"
"Will invited us to eat with his family." I answered flatly offering her my plate.
"Where was I?" she asked sounding offended.
"Iz we were off scaring small children..." Skylar trailed off.
"Whatever," Princess said taking my plate, "What's the deal with the prophecy?"
"We have to ride to the old ruins. It's a half day ride we will leave tomorrow." Raziel answered offering up his plate.

Luckily the tavern had a few available rooms for us to stay in. Another lucky break was that the Tavernkeeper accepted our Stars from the East and West kingdoms. We trudge up the stairs to a long hallway with doors on either side.
"We each have our own rooms. Get some sleep we are leaving early after breakfast." Raziel said giving each of us a key to our room.
The room was small, the only furniture was a bed against the one wall and a small desk in the corner. I put my bag down on the desk and fell into bed.

"Viv time for breakfast." Raziel yelled through my door.
I rolled out of bed, and changed quickly to hopefully get some food before the elves ate it all. I grabbed my bag and went down into the main dinning area of the Tavern. Breakfast was pancakes and some type of sausage.

After getting our horses from Will's, and made sure that Will was all packed and ready to go. Will took the lead again, when he passed he reeked of sage insence and even more of his mind was closed off. Sage is only used in situations in order to rid a home or person of evil spirits.
"Well you look distressed. What's on your mind?" Skylar asked riding up next to me as we left the village behind us.
"Did you smell the sage? I think his family was trying to ward off evil spirits that they probably think I brought. Judging purely off their actions at dinner." I sighed. When ever people acted like this around Fallen really strikes my nerves.
"He is really different. We usally spend the entirety of these rides talking, but now I'm left in the dust." she said sadly.
The ride continued in silence, mostly since we all were trying to figure out why Will suddenly decided to act different and treat all of us like dirt.
