Will was smiling larger than the rest of us. Viv looked unsure and confindent at the same time as always when she was present in a court setting. Skylar looked unsure because it was the first time she had a throne too, and Princess looked like she was about to start a war. The throne room wasn't the only room rebuilt like nothing happened, the entire castle was rebuilt just like how it was in the days of the old king. Suddenly there was extra weight setting on my head, I reached up and my hand brushed a silver crown with engravings to match my throne. I looked to Viv, seeing she was examining her own crown that appeared matching her throne. For some reason there were two Elven thrones, making a total of seven thrones in the room three on either side of Will.
The villagers from the town at the bottom of the hill must have seen the castle repair itself. Since the villagers began to flow into the throne room, dropping into bows and curtsies as they entered. Seemingly by instinct the five of us sat in sync. The crowd assembled and filled the hall spewing outside. The crowd rose from their bows and curtsies to stand.
"What does this mean?" Skylar asked while examining her crown.
"You fulfilled the prophecy..." one of the elders stated in awe.
"This means the entire prophecy is true." Viv started, "There is going to be a war...."
"Like I said before this will be fun!" Princess exclaimed ready for war.
"We are not starting a war!" Will exclaimed.
"There's no need its already started..." Viv sighed.
"How do you know?" we all asked her in sync, while the crowd gasped in anticipation.
"One benifit of being a twin Fallen ruler," she explained "Vincent and I are connected so in times of trouble within our province we can signal one another for help."
Cue another gasp from the villagers, who were slowly filing out sensing the tension in the room.
"It can't be that bad right? Not as bad as the last war?" Skylar asked.
"Nothing will be that bad..." I shuddered.
"No its much...much worse..."Viv trailed off turning pale.
"Lets get cleaned up and some rest. Then reconvene to discuss what to do." I suggested noticing how disgusting we all looked.
"Good idea" Will agreed. After finding my own room and washing up. I found that the large closet was filled with new robes all adjusted to my size. Princess and Skylar had the rooms across the hall that were joined by a door.
"I will not wear that! Never! You can't make me!" Princess screamed from across the hall, probably about a dress Skylar was trying to make her wear. Will's room was at the end of the hall and Viv's was next to mine. All of the rooms were pretty much the same each door was heavy oak with our crest carved into it. Inside was very spacious with a small sitting area and attached bathroom next to a large walkin closet. The rooms on my side of the hall all had a balcony overlooking the village below.I walked out of my room to go check on Viv.
"How's it going?" I asked as she opened the door.
"Here...well...out there questionable..." she sighed as she moved to sit on the couch .
"Does this mean you're leaving?" I asked as I sat across from her, she had changed out of her riding clothes into a red gown.
"I don't know. Vincent didn't say that the situation was dire...yet..." she trailed off.
"Everything will work out. Plus we are now rulers of the Forbidden." I chuckled, "Now lets get to that meeting before we're late."
She nodded as we made our way back to the main level of the castle. Finding our way to a large study, the tall doors had each of the crests carved in a circle. Inside Will was standing by the bookcases that covered on wall, the other wall was floor to ceiling windows. The center of the room was occupied by a large cherry table with one chair at the head and three others on either side.
"I see the Elves are the last ones." I chuckled.
"This seems like a common theme." Viv added as she sat.
"I though Isadora would've been first. We are discussing what to do about the war." Will said taking his seat at the head of the table.
"Well then lets discuss war!" Princess burst into the room with Skylar in tow.
"No dress? You are a queen..." Will trailed off as Isadora took her seat.
"The day when I wear a dress to any sort of meeting is the day all of you will be wearing dresses too. Now lets talk about our battle plans." Princess stated with a huff.
"But I saw you at some of your father's meetings with them on...." Will trailed off.
"It's all part of a bigger plan. Sometimes we give a little to gain more," she replied."We don't have enough reasources yet. We need to wait." Viv insisted.
"But if we strike now we have the element of surprise. And both kingdoms will be at their weakest." Princess countered.
This has been the argument for the last two hours, with occansional intergections from Skylar and I.
"We don't have enough information yet to make any moves let alone we don't even have an army yet." Will said attempting to end the argument.
"Although if we made it known that the true heir was alive and ready to rule, you might get a multitude of support from both kingdoms." Viv added.
"I hate to say it but Over-Controlling-Commander is right." Princess agreed.
"We should let this war run its course. Who knows ot night only last a few weeks." I stated, "The element of surprise is the best weapon we have if we join the war."
"Raziel is right. We won't get involved unless the situation gets dire." Will said ending the discussion.
"So what are we supposed to do?" Princess asked disappointed.
"We go about our normal lives?" Skylar offered.
"Yes, and when the time comes we will overthrow the two high kings and rule over one sole kingdom." Will nodded.
"So I guess this means we go home..."I trailed off.
"Home. Joy," Isadora said annoyed at the thought of having to go home.
"That way no one will suspect anything suspicious from the Forbidden." Viv said.We all understood what needed to happen next. We all walked back to our rooms to pack and prepare for the journey home.
"Where are you going to go? If the Elves catch you, they'll hand you over to the high king before you could even blink." Viv stopped me before I went to my room.
"I haven't decided. I should probably get back to make sure Jac is still alive." I sighed figuring that Jac is fine without me no matter what he says.
"You can come back with me. Vincent is king and can pardon you. You'll be able to live whatever life you please within our boarders." Viv offered looking up at me.
"Maybe. But Princess overthere is going home knowing she is a queen." I said trying to come up with a reason not to go.
"She's not a queen yet. She still is only 17. Well my offer still stands. Just promise to be safe which ever way you decide to go." she pleaded as I enveloped her into a hug.
"I promise." I said, and with that she smiled and walked into her room.
We were all parting ways, I would probably end up going home to check on Jac and then to the Fallen Provience so I could walk outside without the chance of being arrested."How will we get back when its time to make our move?" Princess questioned as she mounted her horse.
"Don't worry. I have a way to contact all of you if I need you." Will answered remaining on the steps.
With a disappointed look Princess and Skylar coaxed their horses into a gallop down the hill and to the West, back to their provience.
"Bye Will." Viv said, as she and her horse started down the hill.
"Have fun. And don't go power hungry." I said turning to Will as my horse trotted to catch up to Viv.
Will waved for as long as I could see from my saddle. Viv and I rode to the East to return home to our provinces. The journey home will not be as long as the one to get here since our party shrank and our pace was at a steady gallop the entire way back from the Forbidden's border.
"Well I guess this is goodbye."I said before we crossed.
"This isn't for forever. Isadora will mess up eventually and call us to help. So it's more of a see you later." she laughed as she lauched her horse across the border at a gallop.
I laughed and followed suit, heading straight for the High City, heading home.
