"Fine. Ask away" I responded. Anything to find out why there was still a pair of death daggers floating around in Elven hands.
"Why are these daggers so important to you?" Isadora asked from across the fire.
"That pair of daggers is made of a precious medal found in Fallen territory. They also possess more power than you can imagine. Where did you find them?" I answer sternly.
"I was wandering my castle and came across a different hall and turned down it and continued walking I past a lot of random doors that were locked. Soon I came to a set of stairs and walked down them for a long time soon passing where the dungeons were. Those old guys are always fun to talk to; you know they want to kill my father but I don't take it personally. Because you know I want to too most of the time. At the bottom of the stairs there was this creepy dark room, it was nice and cozy, where after walking into a table or two I found the daggers in a fancy box covered in dust." she smiled innocently.
I rub my temples even when reading her conscience the story made no sense. Her train of thought was all over the place. I could never understand what she thought so most of the time I focused on the others in our presence. The fallen had regained all six of the pairs... Yet there is a slim chance that the Elves simply said that there were only six so they could use the last pair to persuade the Fallen to fight on their side. I can not tell Isadora that those daggers are the only thing that can kill a Fallen.
"Is there another pair?" I asked masking my urgency.
"I'm not answering. It's my turn to ask a question." she responed proudly like she somehow won.
"No. I think we are done now." I roll my eyes. Her conscience reveiled that there were no more daggers that she knew of, at least of what I understood from a very rough translation. The western elf language was extremely different from the eastern. I moved to sit by where Raziel was on watch.Isadora obviously has no idea what power those daggers actually possess. If she found out it would in no doubt be complete and udder chaos. Not to mention that she would use the power recklessly, probably to gain a set of matches or somewhat.
"What's on your mind?" Raziel asked after telling Isadora and Skylar to quickly make dinner.
"How in the skys did miss princess get those daggers?" I responded.
"I would not worry. I highly doubt that she knows what they really are." he added standing.
"You are right. We should get moving." I nodded as I replaced my scabbard back to my belt and saddled my horse.
"If you are really concerned about if princess knows what those daggers can do just look in her thoughts." Raziel suggested.
"I already checked. If the answer was there do you still think that I would be planning her murder? It also doesn't help that I can't understand more than half her thoughts." I answered shortly earning myself a glare from Raziel.Raziel kept the group moving at a semi-fast pace to keep miss princess from running off constantly. Skylar was still mad at princess so she took the place next to Will creating constant bable between the two. Making silence an object not attenable for our group. Even though Miss princess wouldn't be quiet if her life depended on it.
"Where are we?" Will questioned breaking our few precious moments of silence.
"Just past the Elven border." Princess responded sitting backwards on her saddle.
"We should rest the horses, we have been riding all night." I suggested ridding up to Raziel.
"Agreed. We should also eat." He responded. I lead the group to an isolated grove just off the trail.
"We'll rest here for an hour." I announced as everyone settled for a nap or something to eat.
I took watch finding that I lost my appetite, and had too much adreniline to sleep. Even though we had been riding for awhile Skylar was still moody and upset with Princess.
"Skylar that happened like six hours ago what's your problem all of a sudden? I bet Raziel is rubbing off on you" Princess told Skylar as they tied their horses to a tree only earning a raised eyebrow from the lady in waiting.
Then, Skylar simply turned and walked away. Yet her conscience said that she never planned on resolving this conflict.
"Can you believe those two are still at it?" Raziel sat.
"It's actually kind of comical. Since Isadora is trying but failing at making conversation with her." I responded, "she doesn't get all the social cues all the time does she?"
"And now she's talking to that tree...." he sighed.
"I knew she was crazy, but not that crazy." I shoke my head.
"That's agreeable"
In all fairness the tree was inbetween her and Skylar. So by having a full on conversation with the tree she was essentially having a conversation with Skylar.
"I completely agree, she is being completely selfish. You are right she should end this whole fiasco." she screamed at the tree.
Skylar continued to ignore her and continued the conversation with Will.
"You know what's weird? That I was told legends of these kingdoms being desolate and uninhibited." Will said while isadora was screaming.
"What else did you expect! Did you think we would be vicious man eating canibals too!" Isadora screamed at Will not the tree.
"Well no...but we were told that if we left we would be greated by just more wilderness. That these places didn't exist."
"Well the East is told to ignore and treat the West like it doesn't exist and vice versa" Skylar chimed in.
"Still our entire society is taught that you all are terrible and well most of all dead."
"Well legends are just legends. This is all like saying dragons are still around." I laughed.
"You shouldn't dwell on myths or legends Will. It will only make you worry more." Raziel added from the other side of the fire.
