It had been another long day waiting for my husband, Draco, to come home. I was fixing dinner as Lilly, our daughter, came into the kitchen to complain as she normally did around this time. Usually it was her asking for a snack before dinner, or a comment about how she wished her dad was home.

"I miss dad!" she groaned, dragging her feet for effect. Yep, just as I had expected.

"I know, Dear. He should be here any minute now." Her face dropped, and she moped up the stairs to find Scorpius, her brother. I sighed and continued to monitor the food I was making. A good ten minutes later, I heard the door unlock. Lilly and Scorpius bounded down the stairs to greet their dad. I set down the spoon and set the lid on the pot as voices filled the entry way.

"I'm home!" Draco called as the kids reached the living room. I peeked around the corner, and smiled to myself. Draco was hugging Scorpius, and Lilly was yelling for her brother to move out of her way.

"Scorp! How about you go pick out some pajamas," I called, making all three of them look at me. Scorpius raced upstairs to his bedroom, and Draco hugged Lilly when our son left.

"Dad! Can I show you my drawing!?" Lilly asked, jumping up and down.

"Of course!" Draco responded, getting to his feet. She then also bounced up the stairs. I sighed and walked over to Draco. We kissed, and I pulled him into a hug. A feeling of calmness and relief rushed through me as my head met Draco's chest.

"How was your day, Honey?" I asked him.

"Long. I'm so glad it's Friday. How was yours?" Draco responded sweetly.

"It was good. Same as usual. I missed you," I whispered before he pulled me into another kiss. Just then, Lilly and Scorpius came back down the stairs, and our son's nose wrinkled in disgust. Lilly was holding a crinkled looking paper, and Scorpius was wearing pajamas with cartoon animals on it. Both Draco and I smiled as  he crouched down to their level to talk. I disappeared into the kitchen and turned off the stove. I dished up some food for each of us and set the table. I filled two plastic cups full of milk and set them on the table. I got Draco and I some tea.

"Dinner's ready!" I called into the lounge. A few seconds later, Draco walked in carrying both of our five-year-olds. I smiled, and gently took Scorpius to his chair. I sat down after Lilly and Draco were seated, and everyone started eating.

"This is really good," Draco said, smiling at me.

"Thank you," I said, smiling back.

"How was school, Lilly?" Draco asked. We had decided to let them have some normal schooling before they were sent to Hogwarts, and both of us were happy that we made this decision.

"Well there is one thing that happened..." Lilly responded nonchalantly. I glanced up, listening.

"What happened?" Draco asked.

"Well, there's this boy..." My and Draco's eyes widened. We both thought Lilly was way  too young for boys.

"Boy?" I asked, making sure she had said what she intended to.

"Yeah. He's kinda cute, but he thinks I'm weird so he pushed me."

"Wait, why?" Draco questioned, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Because I have two dads," Lilly said quietly, keeping her eyes focused on her feet. My heart dropped. Draco's face fell.

"Don't listen to him. You're perfect," I told her. A cute smile spread across her face, and she nodded. My rapidly beating heart began to slow back down as Draco started talking.

"How was your day, Scorp?" he asked, going back to eating.

"Good," he said simply yet happily. I quietly laughed at the contrast between our two kids.

We finished our food and the kids walked slowly up the stairs to brush their teeth. Draco washed the dishes while I walked up the stairs to make sure the kids were okay. I ended up stopping a water-splashing war from starting, and both kids were a bit disappointed. I guided them to their incredibly messy shared room, and they hopped into their beds.

"I'm gonna go get Dad. I'll be right back," I said, and walked downstairs.

"They're in bed, Honey," I called to Draco.

"I'm coming!" he called in response. I went back upstairs and kissed each of them goodnight. I was leaving just as Draco came in. A few minutes later he came downstairs and kissed me.

"I love you," he said as I hugged him.

"I love you too, Darling."

And that was how my week days usually went.

Yay! I really hope you guys liked it! This is my first ever fanfiction that I published to Wattpad! I hope I did okay! Also, I'm totally okay with criticism, as it helps me grow as a writer and person. ♥♥
