Darling Part Fifteen

Harry's POV
(30 years later)

Today Scorpius and Lilly are coming to visit Draco and I with their families. Lilly arrived soon after Draco and I woke up. She brought her wife Marrisa, their son Dominic (12), and their daughter Gemma (10). Scorpius arrived 20 minutes later with Albus and their daughter Rain (9). Rain is a very shy but smart young girl. She reminds me of my good friend, Luna. Dominic is brave and loyal, but still goofy. Gemma is a complete trouble maker, but she is full of love.

Dominic, Gemma, and Rain were sitting in the corner of the lounge, doodling and chatting. Lilly, Scorpius, Draco, and I were reminiscing. 

"I always  looked forward to when Dad came home," Lilly said, taking Marrisa's hand. 

"Me too," Scorpius agreed. Albus smiled.

"Well I always looked forward to seeing you guys too," Draco said, looking at the kids, and then at me. I smiled.

"I was so pissed when I heard you were being bullied," Scorpius told Lilly.

"Language, sir. The kids don't need to hear your potty mouth," Draco told him. Scorpius nodded.

"I could tell," Lilly laughed. 

"We were also very upset, but we tried to stay calm," I said. Albus looked down, knowing we were approaching a rough patch in Scorpius and his relationship. I learned to love Albus, we all did. Lilly smiled to brighten the mood.

"I remember when I broke up with August," she said.

"We all do," Draco said, amused.

"I paraded into the house and yelled 'I broke up with August, and I'm pansexual! I'm in love with Marrisa!' Then everyone ran into the lounge and hugged me. I was so happy," Lilly said, still beaming. Marrisa laughed.

"I was in love with you too," she said quietly. Draco and I smiled. 

"I've never been happier," I whispered.

"Me neither," Draco whispered back. 

"I love-" I started, but a lump formed in my throat. I took a deep breath, and cleared my throat. "I love you all so  much," I finished. I looked at Draco, the love of my life. We first decided to take this journey when he proposed to me by a gorgeous river. We were married in the robe shop where we met. Two years later, we were looking for kids to adopt. An orphanage owled us saying that they had newborn unnamed twins...a boy and a girl. Draco and I knew that we had  to go meet them. I fell in love with the chubby little newborns the second I saw them. Draco felt the same. We adopted, and named them. We raised the beautiful babies to the best of our abilities. As time went on, we learned more about each other. My family is my life. They always will be. Seeing our children grow up, get married, and start their own family, is the greatest thing I could ever ask for. This journey has been amazing. I live every day to the fullest, knowing I haven't got much time left. 

"We love you too," Draco said, resting a hand on my shoulder. I realized that I had started crying. 

"We love you, Father," Scorpius and Lilly said at the same time. Lilly, Scorpius, Draco, and I stood up. We shared a group hug. Scorpius and Lilly pulled away to check on their kids, but Draco and I continued to hug.

"I love you, darling," he whispered in my ear. The tears started again.

"I love you too," I told him. The moment was perfect...just like him.
