Harry's POV
My eyes flickered open and I looked around. The clock read 3:00 A.M. Draco was still asleep. There was talking coming from Lilly's room. I grabbed my glasses and got out of bed, half asleep. The talking got louder as I got closer. I quietly walked to the door, and pressed my ear to it.
"I'm gonna kill that bastard," I heard August say.
"No. I don't want you guys to get hurt," Scorpius said.
"Scorp, he beat you up! No one hurts my brother and gets away with it," Lilly told him.
"She went crazy on him, August," Scorpius whispered. A quiet laugh sounded.
"Of course she did," August said. I smiled.
"Is anyone hungry?" Lilly asked.
"No. Thanks though, love," August answered.
"Nope," Scorpius replied. I walked back to Draco and my room, and lied down.
"Everything okay, Harry?" Draco mumbled, wrapping his arm around me.
"Yeah. The kids are just talking," I answered. I pulled him into a kiss, and we soon fell back asleep.
***
I walked downstairs in the morning to find the kids already awake.
"Good morning everyone," I yawned, starting some tea.
"Morning, Father," Lilly and Scorpius said together.
"Good morning," August said.
"Are you feeling better, Scorp?" I asked, putting some toast in the toaster.
"Yeah. Little bit sore, but nothing too bad," he answered. I nodded.
"Are you sure?" Lilly asked suspiciously. Scorpius laughed.
"Yes, I'm sure," He told her. I put the toast on a plate, and poured the tea into a mug. I carried the breakfast upstairs and set it on Draco's nightstand.
"Wake up, baby," I whispered, lightly shaking Draco. He groaned and pulled the covers over his head. I laughed quietly and gently pulled the cover away.
"Draco, I need your help today," I whispered again. Draco whined and snuggled further down in the bed.
"I don't feel good," he said hoarsely. I frowned.
"How don't you feel good, darling?" I questioned.
"Throat," Draco whispered.
"Does it hurt?" I asked. He nodded. I continued to ask him questions, attempting to figure out what sickness he had.
"I made you some breakfast. I want you to at least drink the tea," I told Draco. He sat up and I handed him the cup. He drank some and then set it back down.
"I've gotta go do some chores. I'll check on you later," I said, getting up from the bed. Draco nodded and laid back down. I leaned in for a kiss, but my lips came on contact with Draco's palm.
"I don't want you sick too," He whispered.
"You're worth catching a cold over," I told him. Draco smiled, and gave me a hug. I took the toast downstairs and threw it out.
"Is Dad ok?" Lilly asked, wandering into the kitchen. I sighed.
"He's sick. Nothing I haven't dealt with before," I said, turning on the dishwasher.
"Do you need me to help?" she asked. I smiled and looked at my beautiful daughter.
"Would you?" I asked, relived she offered.
"Of course, Father," Lilly walked into the laundry room and started sorting the clothes.
"Thank you sweetie," I said, rinsing off the dishes waiting in the sink.
"You go relax. I'll do the chores. Go lie down with Dad. Don't worry about it," Lilly told me, shoveling clothes in the washer.
"Thank you so much, Lilly. Are you sure?" I asked, putting down the pan I was rinsing. She smiled and nodded. I walked upstairs and crawled in bed. Draco cuddled into me and I kissed his head.
"Lilly said she would do the chores," I explained. Draco nodded, and I smiled. I really do love life, I thought.
