3rd Person
(Warning: some depressing thoughts)Hogwarts was not only closed, but destroyed. The war had ruined the legendary school, putting the education of young wizards in jeopardy. Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasly, and Draco Malfoy were lucky enough to almost finish their schooling before the tragedy struck.
The three teenagers didn't have anywhere else to go. Draco and Harry had also come out as a couple recently, which they had suspected would make things harder, but Hermione and Ron both supported them. The other two had also been dating since the manor incident. Hermione explained to the boys that they would have to settle for an apartment in the muggle world.
Everyone was upset, and traumatized about the events in the war, but Harry had it the worst. He often woke up in Draco and his tent, sweating and crying. Draco, of course, comforted him, but was running out of soothing things to say. Harry was becoming depressed. He stayed in the tent all day, and didn't talk to his best friends. One day, Hermione decided to talk to Harry.Hermione walked onto Harry's tent. He didn't look at her.
"Hey, Harry," she started.
"Hey, 'Mione,"
"Harry...I have to talk to you. Its important," Hermione continued. Harry nodded.
"Draco is trying. He's trying to comfort you and help you, but he doesn't know how. I don't want to put it this way, but it appears I have to. I need you to try. I need you to try getting out of this tent. I understand how...traumatized you are because of the war, but you have to fight this depression. If you can't do it for yourself, do it for Draco. He really does love you, Harry," Hermione told him. He looked at her, his eyes wide.
"Hermione...don't you see? I can't," Harry whispered. Hermione's face softened.
"Harry, yes you can. You don't have a choice. We need you. If you ever want to get back to the wizarding world, you have to help us. What happened to the Harry I knew back in third year?" she said, pulling Harry into a hug.
"That Harry is gone, Hermione. He's been gone for a long time. The only thing keeping me alive and fairly happy is Draco," he he told her, resting his head on Hermione's shoulder. She pulled away, and stood up.
"Harry, listen to me! I'm trying to help! You need to get out of this tent, and help us! I've been doing all the work on this little 'keeping everyone alive' project! Like I said, if you can't do out for me, or Ron, or yourself, do it for Draco! But, Harry...I can't do it anymore. You're not the only scared one. I'm scared. Ron's scared. Draco's scared. You need to get up, and help us...soon," Hermione yelled. Harry said nothing. She stormed out of the tent. A few minutes later, Draco walked in.
"Hey, love," he said.
"Hey," Harry said.
"Harry...we really do need your help," Draco told him quietly. Harry groaned.
"I know, Draco. Do you think I can help that I'm depressed!?" He yelled.
"Harry, please calm down. I'm sorry. I know you can't help it, but please just try to think positive," Draco said, standing up to leave. Harry replayed the last sentence over and over. "Try to think positive." Harry sighed and stood up. He exited the tent, and looked around for everyone.
"Harry?" He heard Ron call. Harry turned towards the voice, and saw them at a picnic table. Draco got up and ran to him. They hugged until Ron and Hermione arrived next to them.
"Ha-" Hermione started but was cut off.
"I'm sorry, guys," Harry said. Hermione gasped.
"No, Harry, it's me who should be apologizing. I know you can't control this," she said, pulling Harry into a tight hug.
"Don't worry about it, Hermione," Harry smiled.
"Good to have you back, mate," Ron said, giving Harry a half hug.
"I've missed you guys...but we have to get started on our plan," Harry told the group.
"Okay," Hermione said, leading them back to the table in the campgrounds.
At the end of the day, everyone went into their tents. Draco fell asleep quickly, but Harry stared at the ceiling for the longest time. He eventually looked over to his gorgeous sleeping boyfriend.
"You're the reason I kept going. You were my only bit of happiness," Harry whispered, then turned back over.
"So were you," Draco whispered back. Harry smiled.
"I love you so much," Harry said a few moments later.
"I love you too, Scarhead," Draco answered.
