Second Year
Potions Class

Draco sat in his favorite class, his blood boiling. Why, you ask? Potter had just added the wrong ingredient to his potion, which resulted in a failing grade.

"Ten points...to Hermione Granger for a perfect score," said Professor Snape. Draco shot Harry an angered look, and the boy smirked.

"Cut it out, Harry," Hermione whispered, referring to the 'staring contest' that was taking place between the two boys. He turned around to face his slightly annoyed best friend.

"Hermione..." Harry started.

"What's wrong, Potter? Don't wanna talk to mudbloods?" said Draco, sneaking up behind Hermione. Harry went around her, and took a swing at Draco. The taller boy fell over, clutching his nose. Harry kneeled down and continued trying to hit the other boy. Hermione, meanwhile, started looking around for Professor Snape, but he had vanished.

Draco smacked Harry across the cheek, and he backed up against a desk. They sat there looking at each other, and their looks of anger faded slowly. The small crowd of seconds years gave curious looks to each other. Draco realized what he was doing, and shook his head. They both stood up. Ron pulled Harry away, and Goyle pulled Draco away. Harry's head was spinning with the previous events.

Has
Malfoy always looked that way? Wait! What am I saying!? I do not have a crush on a Malfoy, let alone a male Malfoy! I mean...I guess it wouldn't be too bad dating a boy, he thought as he walked to his next class. Draco however, was terribly upset at the thought of dating a boy, and even more disgusted with the thought of dating Potter.

Third Year
By Hagrid's Hut

"Ah, come to see the show?" asked a very amused Draco.

"You! You foul, loathsome, evil  little cockroach!" yelled Hermione, holding her wand to Draco's throat. Draco backed into a rock, and his eyes landed on Harry. Harry's eyes softened at the sight in front of him. Draco had become his very recent crush at the end of second year. Draco's eyes looked so helpless...so scared...so...beautiful.

"Hermione...don't," Harry said in a small voice. After a couple second, she lowered her wand and turned to leave. Draco sighed in relief, and behind Hermione's back, sent Harry an ever so small nod of gratitude. Harry nodded in return. Hermione suddenly spun around and punched Draco in the nose. Harry's mouth dropped slightly, but he immediately closed it.

As Draco sprinted away, Harry gave Hermione a sad look. Her smile turned into a confused smirk. Harry shook his head, dismissing his guilt. Draco's head was filled with confusion that night. Potter's not that bad...I guess. He's kinda cute even- Draco! No! You can't think like this! Father'll kill you! You like girls. No...that feels wrong. Draco's thoughts went in cycles like that all night.

Fourth Year
Yule Ball

Draco sadly fixed his tie, thinking about the night that was on it's way. He had developed a crush on Harry a short while after the incident last year. He wanted to go to the dance with Harry, but that was "unacceptable" in the words of his father. Pansy waited excitedly for her date. Harry was feeling just as sad if not sadder. His crush had grown even bigger since the previous year.
