Shelia's POV:

"These are so good, Shelia!" Axl sighed getting off of his stool and heading back over to the stove where the rest of the pancakes sat in a pile on a plate. "Dude, you could be like.. the pancake queen!" Axl chuckled, using his fork to put another three pancakes onto his plate.

Thank god I tripled the batch, otherwise there wouldn't have been enough pancakes to go around for five hungry men and two content women, sipping their red wine. Alison and I only had a pancake each, the wine didn't mix well with the pancakes and we weren't really hungry anyway.

"Definitley the pancake queen!" Steven giggled just like a child would.

"Aye, who's got the maple syrup?" Duff asked after having gotten up and returned for seconds, just like Axl did.

"Think fast!" Izzy chuckled, picking up the maple syrup bottle and tossing it across the bench at Duff. Of course, Duff was nowhere near prepared for the syrup bottle to be thrown at him, so it literally hit him in the bicep before tumbling to the ground, smashing into what seemed a million sticky pieces.

"Fuck, man! Why'd you throw it?" Duff complained, pouting his lips as he stared down at the smashed bottle at his feet. He was lucky it didn't land on his foot, now that would of hurt.

"You wanted it! I was too lazy to walk over to you and actually give it to you." Izzy sighed, he didn't look at all remotely guilty, but he didn't look happy about smashing it either.

"Men." Alison rolled her eyes.

"Tell me about it." I groaned, carefully walking over to Duff who had already bent down to pick up the broken pieces.

"Here, let me do it." I murmured, nudging Duff by his side. I might as well clean it up, we all knew what men were like when having to clean something up. It was always going to be half arsed.

"It's okay, I can do it." Duff answered, but within seconds spoke once again. "Actually, how about you pick up and I hold?" He suggested, looking me in the eyes with his mesmerising brown ones.

"Okay, but please don't cut yourself." I bit my lip, bending down and picking up several bits of glass. Once I had a few bits, I tried to be careful when placing them into Duff's hands. I was so scared about cutting him that it probably took a lot longer to do than what it should have.

"Heres a bucket of soapy water and a cloth to help." Steven announces, placing the bucket down beside us.

"Thanks man." Duff answered before I could.

Just at the right time, I looked up at Duff to see him already looking at me. A blush crept onto my cheeks and I couldn't help but get lost in his gorgeous eyes. They were a beautiful light brown that looked to have a sparkle in them. They sure were luring, making it difficult to look away. But when I managed to, I couldn't help but smile to myself. He was so handsome.

After picking up all the shards of glass, I dipped my hand into the soapy bucket and grabbed the soaking cloth. Squeezing it out before wiping over the tiles, it took me a little while before I managed to get the tiles clean and sticky-free. The entire time, Duff continued to stand there holding onto the bits of glass. He was just watching me with those eyes.

"Can you see anymore mess or glass?" I ask once I thought I was finished.

"No, I think we are safe." Duff gave me a toothy smile.

"Good." I return the same smile. "Where abouts do you need to put the glass? Is there a bin?" I ask, my eyes dropping to the glass in his hands.

"The trash outside." Duff announced. "Do you mind helping open the door?" He cocked an eyebrow, making my insides feel like jelly.
