Duff's POV:

Once Shelia and Slash had gotten into the car to get home, I raced ahead hoping to be home first. I wanted to make sure the house was Axl-free so Shelia could go up the stairs with ease and just go to bed. She was looking like she needed to rest and judging by what I had been told and her head, I knew she would be exhausted. Speeding into the driveway, I shut off my engine and stormed into the house. There still wasn't a car here, which meant that Steven and Ivory were still out. But that didn't mean no one was home, so I was going to double check that Axl wasn't hanging out in any areas that Shelia might go into. I guess whilst I was checking for Shelia, I was also itching for a fight. I wanted to belt him, make him sorry. I couldn't believe he would go to that extreme, just because Shelia didn't like him more than a friend. I couldn't believe he would sexually assault her like he did, I couldn't fucking believe he would step over the boundaries, considering he was one of my best friends! Shelia was off limits to all of the guys, he knew that and yet he tried to overstep it. I was fuming. I would never do that to him, I wouldn't even do that to a woman. I was so horrified he could do that to someone, especially Shelia. Oh yeah, when I saw him next, guaranteed there would be some broken bones.

Going through each room, I noted that they were all empty and the house was safe for Shelia to return to. Something I was somewhat pleased and devastated about. Like I said, I was itching for a fight. My fists were tingling just to hit something, so it was an urge I had to try and keep to myself. Hearing the front door open, I jogged down the stairs and met up with Shelia and Slash just by the bottom of the stairs.

"I need to clean that up." Shelia yawns, pointing to the blood spill on the ground.

"Don't you worry about it, I'll do it. You just go upstairs with Duff." Slash patted her shoulder.

"Okay." She murmured.

It broke my heart seeing her in a hospital bed, it hurt like hell to see her bawl her eyes out over something that Axl did. It was so hard for me to stay strong for her, because I felt so fucking terrible. I was her boyfriend, I was meant to protect her. But there was she, in a hospital bed because of one of my best friends. How fucked was that?

"C'mon babe, let's get you to bed." I wrapped my arm around her and slowly led her up the stairs. Shelia was a little hesitant at first, due to her fall only hours ago, but she slowly climbed them alongside me. "Would you like to have a sleep in my bed?" I offer.

"I don't care which bed, I just need to lay down." She answered bluntly.

Taking her directly to my bedroom, I pulled back the covers and helped her lay down into my bed. I just wished I could turn back time and prevent this from happening, it wasn't fair. Placing the covers onto Shelia, I climbed over her and laid down beside her. I was going to stay with her for a little while, until she fell asleep at least.

"Thanks Duff." Shelia turned over to face me, her blue eyes stared into mine for several moments before closing.

"Why are you thanking me?" I smiled, admiring her beauty. Despite she was all bruised up and her head had at least a dozen stitches, she was still so incredibly beautiful.

"Because I am, for everything. Especially for being with me right now." She whispered this time.

"You don't need to thank me, I'm here for a reason." I leaned over and kissed the top of her head.

It hadn't taken all too long for Shelia to fall asleep, but I had laid beside her for at least an hour before I left the bedroom. I had just stayed by her side and admired her, simply losing myself in my thoughts. Quietly leaving my bedroom and Shelia to peacefully rest, I head down the corridor and down the stairs to see what Slash was up to. But just as I reached the last few steps, my eyes landed on Axl who sat on the couch with a glass of red wine. My fury suddenly came back and I found myself stalking towards Axl.
