Waking up to a thump, I slowly opened my eyes to see Alison standing above me on my bed. I let out a loud shriek in fright, not expecting to see anyone there, let alone above me on my bed!
"Shelia, get up." Alison demanded as she flopped down onto the patch beside me.
"Why?" I whined, not wanting to wake up. Instead, I felt like going back to sleep, but judging by Alison's expression, she wasn't going to let me.
"Because today is Sunday! You know, we have the fucking university thing!" She exclaimed.
"No it's not, today's Saturday." I closed my eyes.
"Nah Shelia, you're stuck in LA time. Australia is ahead, which means today is Sunday and we need to get our shit together!" She bounced up and down on her stomach. I was really starting to wonder if she had worms, honestly.
"No." I let out a loud groan. "Just let me sleep for a couple more hours." I shook my head and rolled onto my side.
"Shelia, you'll have plenty of time to sleep when you're dead. For now? Get the fuck up! We have things to do and not enough time to do it." Alison commanded this time, making me want to suffocate her with my pillow.
"What's the time then?" I asked, not bothering to move, or even open my eyes.
"It's midday! Meaning, you need to get your ass up and go have a shower." She grabbed a hold of me this time and began to shake me.
"You're taking the piss, right?" I say against my pillow.
"No! Get up, get up!" She rolled me onto my back and stared down at me with a sassy expression.
"Fine! I'm up!" I hissed, sitting up and throwing the blanket and top sheet off of my body.
"Finally!" Alison looked like she was praising the gods just because I removed myself from my bed.
"Is Izzy up?" I questioned whilst I took a moment to stretch. My body clicked and cracked, sounding like I was an elderly, mind you, I kind of felt like I was.
"Yeah, he's been up since like this morning." Alison replied, still laying on my bed as she stared at me.
Not bothering on answering, let alone taking a moment to look back at Alison, I headed out of my bedroom and into the bathroom. Like Alison wanted, I was going for a shower. One I really needed, as I wasn't smelling all too great. You were wondering what my house was like compared to the one I had been staying in with everyone? It was tiny. Well, it was an average sized house for Australia. It had three bedrooms and one bathroom, plenty of room for a person who lived on their own. But if I was to place my house in the house in Los Angeles, it wouldn't even take up a quarter of space. That place was ridiculously huge.
Was I relieved to be home? Yes and no. Yes, because it was home, my house to be exact. No, because I was away from everyone and Duff. So I guess I was on the fence about it all.
Showering was an amazing idea, between the warmth of the water and the pressure, I was in heaven. I also felt very refreshed when I finished and was wiping myself dry with a towel. Not making a move to leave the bathroom, I stared into the mirror that sat above my vanity. So today was the day. The day I would turn up for the ceremony just to see if I had passed or not. It was nerve wrecking and I personally didn't want to be there, but I had to be. Even if I tried to weasel my way out of it, I'd have Izzy and Alison forcing me to go. I could be on my death bed and I was sure she would still force me to go.
I wished I knew if I had passed or not, just to save me the embarrassment if I hadn't. If only I owned a crystal ball, or could see into the future, then I would know for certain. It would make my stomach feel a little less stressed, that's for sure.
