Tattoo Butterfly

Tattoo

The tattoo of a butterfly on your wrist
As your hands turn into a fist

Knuckles are bloody from hitting walls
Everytime you take a step you fall.
This life feels like a bouncy ball

Where we get hurt and we try to cope
With pain and sorrow like everday
It takes one simple action
to make it go away.

And NO it's not with the blade
And NOT getting high
Doing those things just kill you inside

We say we can't do it
But we haven't really tried
We keep pictures on our cell phones
That remind us of these things
that we try to hide away

It's one easy step
Just delete and forget
Not for us to look at them and go into a fit

Where does that get us?
the place where we started
It's like everyday we go in half hearted

You see half hearted like in a game
It just takes one hit
you've already been slain.

AND

Just a reminder
I'm still here
To give you my heart
when your full of fear

My heart had a hole
where I couldn't feel
But when you came in
it got fully healed.

You see the hurt
Well I see it too
You see the pain
And I know we will get through

So just take my hand
Please just stay
Sun don't go away.
I'm here tomorrow but mostly today.
