Graffitied walls

As I walk along these graffitied walls
I start to see the colors of a waterfall
The blue, the green, it looks like the sea
A sea of art to fill my heart

I painted a butterfly in your name
I hope you know this ain't a game
You said I once had fame
When I failed you I felt ashamed

I want you back in my arms
Where I know your safe from harm.
Friends is what you want to be
Well all I can say is it's fine with me

Just to talk to you gives me joy
It's almost like I'm a little boy
Your voice it calms me through the night
When I'm blind it gives me sight.

I see a future bright and new
I see it being spent with you
Me and you just hand in hand.
You gave me a another chance to be your man

I won't mess up this time I promise you
We are just friends for now
But as the curtain closes we take a bow
I know somehow we will be alright

As we walk along the graffitied wall.
We see our butterflies becoming one
And now we know that we have won.
And our story has only just begun.
