Anchor

They say hope is like a anchor
But I don't understand
If a anchor keeps you down
Hope has to be on the ground

When we hit rock bottom
We have no choice but go up
Even when things get tough
Or even when life gets rough

I see your soul through your eyes.
They turn to grey when you sigh
And they turn blue when you cry
Just as blue as the sky

Like contacts that wear
They're just used to hide the fear
The fear of drowning and going deep
Always feeling like your going to sink

I hold you tightly by the hand
Until we fall safely to land
